Help ABC destroy itself! Print+Xerox this 2-pg PDF of WillPitt's data dump
Edited on Wed Sep-06-06 10:42 PM by StefanX
If you have access to a printer and a xerox machine, you can now "be the media".

Here's a PDF of one of Will Pitt's essays where he debunks the notion that "9/11 is Clinton's fault", suitable for printing:

http://www.myfilehut.com/userfiles/193404/911_was_clintons_fault.pdf
(right-click and download to your computer)

This is a 2-page PDF which you can print out and xerox (back-to-back on one letter-size sheet), fold it in half, and drop it around your neighborhood or workplace or school

Make a bunch of copies and leave them in places like:
- bus shelters / train stations
- grocery store checkouts
- laundromats
- waiting rooms
- barber shops / beauty salons
- college campus / cafeteria / lounge
- coffee lounge / water cooler area at work
etc.

You can also download it, create an email to a bunch of friends, and then add it as an attachment - and get them to help with printing, xeroxing and distributing.

If enough people "be the media", ABC can go ahead and waste $40 million on this movie - they'll only be exposing themselves as traitors once the whole country realizes ABC is full of crap.

Let's give ABC plenty of rope so they can go hang themselves.

UPDATE
Anyone who has a website where they can host stuff, it would be great if you could host it on your site as well. Just post the link to it in this thread. That way we'll have extra copies online. I'm using a free hosting service but if someone has an actual site of their own that would be better.

Note to Will Pitt - thanks for allowing printing of your stuff on an earlier thread:
http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=364x2052891

The essay that's just been PDF'ed wasn't mentioned in that thread, so I'm PMing you to get your blessing for this thread too!

1. Perhaps we should deliver this to schools to counter the
Scholastic crap. At the very least, it could challenge the use of that material in schools across the country!

Thanks Will and Stefan for the words and the encouragement to act.

8. Any school that is participating in the Scholastic Weekly Reader
program should receive the materials. I don't know of any comprehensive list though. I think most schools participate, don't they?

19. Why? Children Won't Read It
Teachers might read it, children won't. Take a look at the thing, it would be as boring as the Wall Street Journal to a 10, 12, or 15 year-old. Just the layout of the thing (2 pages? Give me a break, most people won't read two paragraphs), small print, newspaper layout, at a glance cut-and-past of boring stuff.

20. I meant for the teachers, not the students
The teachers would have something they could research for fact as opposed to this "dramatization documentary" pile of tripe that they are being handed. It also could be grounds for challenging the system for using the supplied propaganda as well.

We don't help our students if we tolerate them writing history in these students minds now, before it has all be said and done. Challenging it with facts seems to be the only weapon we have left.

4. There's more where that came from
If people like this 2-pager (fits on one piece of letter paper, back-to-back), I'm also almost done with a 4-pager (fits on 2 pieces of paper, back-to-back) also from Will.

I'll upload it ASAP.

26. Now there's a second PDF available (longer)
This one by Will Pitt is titled "Clinton, 9/11 and the Facts":

4-page PDF (fits on 2 sheets of 8-1/2" x 11" lettersize paper - double-sided)
http://www.myfilehut.com/userfiles/193404/clinton_911_and_the_facts.pdf

Instructions:
(1) Right-click, choose "Save target as..." - and make a note of where you're saving it.

(2) Open it and print it, photocopy it double-sided, fold it in half - and distribute!

(3) When double-sided xeroxing this longer PDF, be careful to match up the pages right. The sheets with pages 1 & 8 and pages 7 & 2 go together, and the sheets with pages 4 & 5 and 6 & 2 go together. After you fold the larger PDF, you should also staple it in the middle.

34. The for Dummies Version
Edited on Thu Sep-07-06 02:09 PM by bottomofthehill
Is there a one page "For Dummies Version" which could direct people to the further works.

I know it is a difficult concept to fully grasp but an 8 page rebuttal is a bit much for many of my workmates.

That said, I gave them out and I am going to bring about 90 copies to Camp Democracy with me on the way home tonight.

10. I'm not distributing anything with the headline "911 was Clinton's Fault".
Edited on Thu Sep-07-06 12:37 AM by w4rma
period. end of discussion.

Come up with a better headline. One that does not even hint that Clinton is being blamed for 911 by conservatives. For that infomration they should read the article (which will have the counter information).

Will Pitt likely wrote that headline to catch the internet search engines (good), but for printed use this headline is exactly the wrong one to use. :banghead:

Edited on Thu Sep-07-06 02:37 AM by w4rma
And I have a large problem with the header for print use.

I think the extra information is needed considering the circumstances. Too little information and folks can't form a solid, long term opinion.

23. Yeah, what's up with that headline?
Those are the first words people are going to see. I don't think that's going to help. The right-wingers it will attract will just crumble it up and trash it when they realize it's not what they thought it was.

31. Idea: Hand-write the word "NOT" in title ("9/11 was NOT Clinton's Fault")

Might give it a kind of eye-catching graffiti effect.

Also note that I've got a new thread up now which includes another (longer) PDF, titled "Clinton, 9/11 and the Facts":

If I am going to distribute something; I want references to sources that back up the data asserted to in the paper. I completely agree with what he is writing, but I guess I'm gonna have to source this out for myself.

17. I wonder if there are enough facts (known details) to prove will's essay?

Inother words, we know the laws and actions Clinton attempted, and now we know more about the details of the terrorist cell responsible for 9/11. Can it be shown that their activities would have been detected or thwarted with certainty? Maybe its not possible, but that would awesome.

Clinton was not to blame for 9.11, but I still wish he dropped missle on OBL's freakin head when he had the chance.

32. You should probably read more than just this essay.
Because if you did then you wouldn't have posted what you wrote.

Even if BC had dropped a missle on OBL in 2000, 9/11 would have still happened. IIRC, and its not in the CNN story, the reason they decided not to try to blow him to bits was because a prince from a friendly nation was in the group.

Edited on Thu Sep-07-06 07:30 PM by w4rma
And Clinton didn't have a huge galvanizing event to give him the world political power to maim and kill world leaders.

So when are you going to read the essay so that you can have *any* authority on this subject?

I had already read about the event you were talking about, years ago.

37. Get off your high horse,

Of course, BC didn't have the moral authority of 9.11 to order the missle strike when he had him, but he could have done it anyway. He was trying to drop a missle on OBL for a while. Now maybe you think sucking up to Saudis was important enough to not kill off a few of them while they were consorting with a known terrorist, but I don't. BC was already lobbing missles in Afganistan and killing people at the training sites (missing OBL). Its not like "collateral damage" was really an issue -- the issue was Saudi Arabia.

All I'm saying is I wish he pulled the trigger on that terrorist. If you don't, then so be it. We can disagree.

Of course I read the essay and I think it is a good one. My initial response asking about the possibility of drawing a few connections between the dots that Will Pitt outlined. For example, Pitt talked about the money laundering bill being torpedoed by Sen. Graham. It would be even more convincing if the banks that were supplying money directly to the 9.11 cell were on the list of banks that would have been punished by BC's law.

Since you read the essay and think you have more authority than me, perhaps you could answer that question.

Btw, I think the world would be a better place without the Saudi Royals, also. However, there appear to be very well moneyed, high ranking people behind the scenes protecting the Saudis. (btw, Bush allowed the Saudi royals - or were they Bin Laden family Saudis? - to break the 911 no fly to fly back to Saudi Arabia.) That and I believe the Saudi Royals own some gargantuan portion of American assets, also (tax cuts for the rich = tax cuts for the Saudi Royals).

That said. There was no way that Clinton could have killed the children of the Saudi Royals to get Bin Laden also. Therefore there was no "trigger" to pull, ever. There was no clean shot at Bin Laden under Clinton. <period>
