How does a psychopath graduate from torturing frogs to torturing people?
First they would catch the toads and tie the firecrackers on their bodies, then light the fuse, and throw them in the air to watch them explode. Normal children? Hardly, but that is what George W Bush did for enjoyment as a child. His sadistic nature goes back a long way.

Now that he is the President of the United States, he no longer tortures frogs. Now he tortures humans. If it appears that he gets some type of enjoyment out of death or just talking about death, it is because he does. Just as when he laughed and mocked Karla Faye Tucker before he signed her death warrant. Now he tortures humans - at Guantanamo and secret places around the world. If it seems that he smiles at inappropriate times, it is because he does. He has graduated from frogs to the big time.

2. A nation of enablers,
that are herded by corporate sheepdogs. We just don't have the backbone as a whole to appropriately deal with degenerates in power as we have in these times

5. Sociopath

Not all people who torture animals as children grow up to be sociopaths, however, nearly every
sociopath starts out as an animal abuser.

Bush could easily be a sociopath.

8. stupid kid. You don't have to tie the firecrackers on, just stick them in
the frogs mouth.

That's what my brother and his friends used to do.

9. He tortured his little brothers, too.
As related by Neil and Marvin, when * was 16, he would line them up, wearing their thin summer pajamas, in the hallway, give them a head start, then chase and shoot them in the butt with his BB gun.

13. New York Times article was one of the sources
An alert for American voters and humane educators everywhere appeared on May 21 in the 61st through 64th paragraphs of a 76-paragraph NEW YORK TIMES feature on the childhood of Republican candidate for U.S. president George W. Bush -- if anyone noticed.

"One of the local rituals for children," reported Nicholas D. Kristof of life in Midland, Texas, when George W. was a boy, "were meetings with cookies and milk at the home of a nice old lady who represented the SPCA. The cookies were digested more thoroughly than the teachings."

"We were terrible to animals," recalled Throckmorton, laughing. A dip behind the Bush borne turned into a small lake after a good rain, and thousands of frogs would come out. "Everybody would get BB guns and shoot them," Throckmorton said. "Or we'd put firecrackers in the frogs and throw them and blow them up."

Kristof made plain that "we" explicitly included George W. Bush, and that George W., the Safari Club International "Governor of the Year" in 1999 for his support of trophy hunting, was the leader among the boys who did it.

As for W shooting his brothers with BB guns it came from an old interview with Jebby.

14. Unbelievable
I mean that is absolutely sick, at least the frog part. My brother and I had bb gun wars when we were kids, so I can't say much about that, except it was stupid, and extremely dangerous, but stupid and extremely dangerous go hand and hand with adolescent boys. We did wear eye protection, and lots of cloths for padding, not that it makes it any better. There was no such thing as paint ball guns back then, it is probably a good thing though, we probably would have paint balled the whole neighborhood. I look back and wonder how we both survived our teens.
