12. That Murrow quote is excellent!
I remember back in 1985, and the Bruce Springsteen box came out and he says in the run-up to their cover of the Edwin Starr classic "War," "Because in 1985, blind faith in your leaders or in anyone, will get you killed."
The initial bumper sticker made me think of that. At that time, I was young and dumb and had no idea what he was talking about, after all "Reagan was president and everything was great!"
Yup. Young and dumb.
It's good that we don't stay that way.
