In an article published today re Path to 911, I found this tidbit
The liberal ``blogosphere'' has been filled with condemnations of ``Path'' since late last month, when the first part of the film was screened by Washington's National Press Club. Typical was an Aug. 27 posting on Democratic Underground with the headline, ``ABC docudrama will blame Clinton and Dems for 9/11.''

Charlie McCollum's article on the supposed "docudrama" Path to 911,
fails to ask the most pressing question about the whole issue. The Elephant in
the room that Charlie, and in fact most all of the corporate media have chosen to
ignore is who is paying for this? The entire show will be aired WITHOUT COMMERCIALS!
Are we to believe that ABC is doing this out of the goodness of their hearts in
honor of the event? Are we to believe that the shareholders have approved a $30,0000.00
production be aired at their expense with no advertising revenue even asked for
to offset the production costs? I will believe that when pigs fly. That is simply
too much Quid to believe there is no "Pro Quo"
I suspect a little journalistic examination would reveal that either ABC has some
pending business before the FCC and or the Justice department, or the funds for
this are direct from Rove and co. It is simply not a coincidence that a fictional
depiction of the events of 911 that make it look like President Clinton is to blame
and portreys the Bush administration as "on top of it" would be aired
this close to the midterms, for free. It smells much more to me like a huge campaign
contribution which, as we all know, does not influence our politicians...when pigs
fly!
