Good news re: ABC 911 Show
Edited on Thu Sep-07-06 02:52 PM by autorank
They made a debate on 911 the issue. That's right, by putting up a poorly done, distorted
docu-drama, they made a 911 debate fair game. The corporate media can't ignore it,
particularly ABC. No more hiding in the *shadows* - it's now a topic for debate.

Any key point that people want to bring up will be tied to "triggered by the ABC dramatization."

Clark was out front early with his slam and that's the precedent. Now it's time to go for it.

Why didn't Bush read the memo from Tenet on bin Laden's plans...for a month?

Why was Bush on vacation a month before 9/11 when there were such dire warnings?

Why did Condi come out and say they "never expected" airplanes to be used as weapons?

Why did he fight an investigation from day one?

Why is Sybil Edmunds silenced?

What's this about a parallel disaster plan on the very same day?

What about those warnings from Egyptian and German intelligence agencies about an attack?

Questions or topics for debate anyone???;)

I hope Paul Thompson takes this trash and does his parallel timeline against the movie.

That would open a whole can of worms too.

16. Why Bush refused to read HartRudman Report on Global Terror handed to him
Edited on Thu Sep-07-06 02:34 PM by blm
on Jan 30, 2001?

President Gore would have read the two and a half year study the day it was handed to him and would have worked to implement its urgent proposals for homeland security.

A 9-11 event did NOT have to happen.

Norah O'Donnell asked three important questions this morning. What IS the truth about 9-11? Who initiated this "docudrama"? Was it written by a conservative?

Can't stomach O'Donnell. That's beside the point. She STILL said what she said and that allows the American people to ask "What IS the TRUTH about 9-11? Do we really KNOW what the truth is?"

Edited on Thu Sep-07-06 02:30 PM by EVDebs
This company's access to US security apparatus is beyond the Dubai Ports scandal. Also, Ptech had(has ?) FAA, Air Force, DoD, and White House computer and software access. WTF ? And ABC is going after WJC ? If these morons in the Bush administration have 'kept on' something instituted during the Clinton administration you have to ask yourself 'why' ? Clinton was being and IS BEING SANDBAGGED. Identical to the JFK / Bay of Pigs scandal, only WJC didn't pull the weeds in the CIA/OSP/DIA.

Wargames during 9-11 only merited a footnote reference in the Commission Report. Why ? Did ABC even ask ?

And What About This - Fighting them in Iraq because we're afraid to fight them in Afghanistan and Pakistan.

PAKISTAN: OSAMA FREE TO LIVE PEACEFUL LIFE
Bin Laden Gets a Pass from Pakistan
September 05, 2006 5:41 PM

Osama bin Laden, America's most wanted man, will not face capture in Pakistan if he agrees to lead a "peaceful life," Pakistani officials tell ABC News.

If he is in Pakistan, bin Laden "would not be taken into custody," Major General Shaukat Sultan Khan told ABC News in a telephone interview, "as long as one is being like a peaceful citizen."

"They're throwing the towel," said Alexis Debat, who is a Senior Fellow at the Nixon Center and an ABC News consultant. "They're giving al Qaeda and the Taliban a blank check and saying essentially make yourselves at home in the tribal areas," Debat said.

24. CBC vs. ABC: Why did US intelligence turn a blind eye?
http://www.cbc.ca/fifth/conspiracytheories/intelligence.html

TURNING A BLIND EYE
A third view, explored by the fifth estate, suggests something different altogether: that the evidence pointing to a pending attack was not pursued vigorously (consciously or unconsciously) simply because much of it led back to Saudi Arabia. And that Saudi Arabia holds a special place in the U.S. political, business and intelligence milieu. It's a country that is not held to the same standards of accountability as are other nations. The reason, of course, is America’s enormous dependence on Saudi Arabia for oil. Remember: 15 of the 19 hijackers were Saudi citizens.

Here are some of the more significant moments of the intelligence failure that point to this thesis: ...

42. History!
I can't help but think of Martin Luther King, Jr:

"I know you are asking today, 'How long will it take?' I come to say to you this afternoon however difficult the moment, however frustrating the hour, it will not be long, because truth pressed to earth will rise again.

How long? Not long, because no lie can live forever.
How long? Not long, because you still reap what you sow.
How long? Not long. Because the arm of the moral universe is long but it bends toward justice."

(This is from a speech that Martin's close friends called the "Jonah in the belly of the Whale" speech, delivered at the end of the Selma/Edmund Pettus Bridge to the state capital march on March 25, 1965.)

45. That is certainly a different way to look at this, Mike.
I must say the clip of the crapudrama that I saw used wingnut terminology, i.e., that Clinton considered terrorism a legal matter, and that nonsense has echoed on the other side of the aisle which makes this travesty particularly egregious.

I agree that an honest debate would leave the wingnuts wimpering in the corner, but they are masters of manipulation and evasion and power-point (reads head-butting) repartee. I'd probably have a better debate with my dog, Seven; she is very smart, you know. :)

Quite honestly, I would prefer they yank the damn thing, because over 40% of Americans believe Saddam was involved in 9/11 and even blatant untruths will be absorbed by the sheep who vote.

And I'm for one sided debates, where we just trounce them. With just the questions raised here, it
would have to be stopped on a TKO in the early minutes...then we could continue and just give a great

I just saw the DSCC letter form Ried and the leadership. Rokken, take their damn license and charge

Why did Ashcroft stop flying on commercial jets in July 2001?
What about PNAC and their need for "a new Pearl Harbor"?
Why didn't the FBI act on reports from flight schools about suspicious individuals?
What action, if any, did dimson take after the PDB warnings in 2001?
Why have individuals like Sibel Edmonds been silenced?
Why haven't top bushco officials appeared under oath to answer questions?
Why were war games conducted on 9-11-01 while real hijackings were occurring?
Why weren't those games cancelled when true events became known?
Why were fake radar signals being sent during the hijackings?
Why weren't F16s/other intercepts scrambled when the commercial jets went off course?
Why was the scrap metal from WTC quickly sold and shipped out of the country?
Why didn't dimson take immediate action rather than remain in the class room?
Why was the administration demanding that intelligence connect 9-11 with Iraq, when no hijackers were Iraqi?

62. Why did Bush just sit there?
Edited on Thu Sep-07-06 11:07 PM by gulliver
All we have to do is show that footage over and over. I'll never forget that day, wondering if we were under some sort of nuclear threat with little Junior bunny hopping all over the country. And Karl Rove making up a "credible threat" to explain Bush's cowardice, a black lie that could have diverted military resources away from protecting America to protecting an unthreatened Bush.

And Bush tearing up in the Oval Office on national TV the next day like a wussier, stupider version of Fredo Corleone.

It's a bitter memory because it is true, but no one seems to remember it. It's like Bush was so bad that people just decided to close their eyes. I would love to see a revisit of the real truth of Bush on that day.

64. Why did you think "That's one lousy pilot"?
You admitted you did in December of 2001. Surely you never thought the August 6 PDB would be uncovered, or you never would have made such an idiotic statement.

Now why don't you tell us the truth for a change?

66. What role did the Reagan and Bush I administrations
have in building up and supporting bin Laden and Al-Qaeda during the Soviet occupation of Afghanistan?

If they're going to go all the way back to the Clinton administration, why not go back even farther?

67. Two other things. 1) We now know their process.
Edited on Fri Sep-08-06 03:44 AM by sfexpat2000
We know how they operate and next time, because there will be a next time, it will be easier to counter them.

And 2) We know that they don't really believe George Bush has kept them safe. They've just revealed the depths of their hypocrisy. If Junior was the hero they rave about, there would be no need to LIE about Clinton to make Junior look better. I hope the Democrats understand that and PUSH on it.
