interesting day... Bolton vote dropped from sched., Generals argue against
bush*'s new tribunal system..., McCain, Warner join opposition to bush's tribunal plan; wiretapping bill didn't make it out of committee..., bush*s big plan for immigration reform won't see light of day this session...; EU countries are asking pointed questions about CIA secret prisons...; Senate passes Dem's bill to open a Bin Laden bureau, after bush* had closed the existing one...; Rudy & bush admin are taking heat for news that govt covered up the toxicity of NYC thus exposing those who worked the clean up AND citizens who returned to massive health risks; the Couric interview got only minimal coverage anywhere and the new propaganda flick on Path to 9/11 is rocking in very heavy seas.

interesting day.

Oh - and for all the news of how Afghanistan is now a shining example of democracy there seems to be a wee problem with resurgence of resistence fighters and taliban. And that good progress in the Battle of Baghdad seems to have been overstated too - now that last months death toll has been revised upward 3x.....

not a good day for the bushistas, methinks.

12. I realize we have a tough road ahead...
but I feel the winds of change blowing. These treasonous, rat bastards are in it up to their eyeballs, IMO. They know it. That's why things are moving at a fast and furious pace.

13. What could be in Bush's mind to act like this on the new 14?
I can not get it out of my mind that many in Congress will go with him. It makes me feel shame to be an American. It is like we have become un glued and ben Larden has won the war. If Larden hates our way of life he has won a good one on this. I still think it is more he is sick of us going around the world and taking what we want, like all empires did. If Bush thinks he can keep us as the worlds greatest power he has lost the battle already. The world will just go right around us and you can see it doing that already. Draining countries of their goods from out side their countries is a day gone by. People want their own goods to use as they like and they are not interested in keeping us rich at the cost to them self. I do not know why Bush can not see this. We have not just helped win WW2 and people have not got this into their heads yet. That is history and now is now.

9. disclosure of the "secret prisons"
just slid that into his speech. A very surreal AmeriKa today indeed.

Pakistan a good neighbor to BinLaden.

Like a waterfall that cannot be stopped.

the "fear factor" exposed

Wolfie commented about how the BinLaden tape just before the election in 04 no doubt gave ** the win.
