Someone please remind me again...why do we owe Rove an apology?

I mean, is the book closed? Is the story over? Is the investigation done? And, if all a journalist does is say they THINK that Rove might be indicted any minute now, and then he's not, why is it that they owe him an apology?

Because if they do, I think we have to go further back in the apologies. For example, the media have never apologized to O.J., have they? He didn't get convicted in criminal court. He was found not guilty. So doesn't everyone in the media who covered him like he was guilty owe him a big fat honking apology?

Obviously, I am just trying to prove a point here. But I think it might actually be rather funny to go to the right wing crackpots who are claiming that Rove is owed an apology and ask them whether or not they have apologized to O.J.
