I KNOW there is much more SERIOUS news than this, but I just now saw it. I heard something while Olbermann was on, but I didn't pay it any attention!

Here's the KICKER! That's my LOCAL weatherman!!! I just cracked up! He's one of the newer guys, but seriously folks... this IS Florida and it probably WASN'T a normal run of the mill cock-roach, around here we call them Palmetto bugs! Myself, I've actually picked them up and thrown from my patio at times. My black snake will get them!

But then about a month ago one of my black snakes bit me! Didn't hurt, it didn't run... neither did I... we just sort of looked at each other then went our merry way. And no, I didn't raise the snake, we just let them stay around to kill the PALMETTO bugs!! Or other things like maybe citrus rats! I don't really like killing anything myself, but I just wonder what that guy would have done if he ran across a black snake??

It was pretty funny... just had to share! Now you can go back to the "real" world, sick and it is!!

The guy shrieked and carried on like a prom queen on speed with a snake in her hair. While it's true that Florida palmetto bugs are as big as cocker spaniels and have to be shot rather than squashed, he did overreact a bit, IMO.

14. WOW! That Was Fast! I Never Thought It Would Get To YouTube!

Sure we do have some big bugs here, but I'd have to say that was quite a reaction, I haven't ever heard of one biting or anything. Maybe they'll show something about it tomorrow. He's usually on in the morning! I still can't believe it was HERE!!

I suppose he's still on the air!! I don't know if that was just a tape they showed BEFORE the real thing or not because I didn't see it in real time. It's the local SNN TV Station here, local news etc. Not ABC, NBC, CBS... just the local station!

I only caught it when they showed it last night. Heard the noise on Olbermann but didn't see it, then I was doing something in the kitchen and had not changed the channel. I RARELY watch any MSNBC other than Olbermann, but as I say I was busy cleaning up something in my kitchen and I heard it again so I decided it must have been something pretty funny. Walked in and saw this guy, and just cracked up!!!

I mean what are the odds that you are going to see your rather small local TV station on National TV? I had to send it to everyone! He's usually on in the morning, but I didn't catch him today because I had an appointment. I'll check in the morning. I'm sure they kept him because they got so much National attention!

20. I Just Called SNN About The Clip

They told me they have been getting calls all day long and he asked me where I saw it. After I told him I let him know that it was really NATIONAL... on YouTube now. This guy asked me what YouTube was so I don't think they know it made it there!

And yes, it was on LIVE when it happened! I was afraid to ask if he was still working there though. I don't think it's something he should be fired for, after all they got a lot of attention, so I told them I got a good laugh out of it and told him that I posted it here!

It's already gotten over 123,000 hits at YouTube!! Well, we ALL need diversion sometime!
