How can I write a letter or email Amy Madigan

This absolutely breaks my heart that she would do such a horrid movie. I mean, Keitel is kinda loopy and has been accused of abuse by his ex-wife, but Amy Madigan has been such a great voice out there for choice and women's rights. She has donated a ton of money to the democratic party as recently as last year and she actually was once on the board for NARAL, as we know a major pro-choice organization. Hell, I've been to pro-choice rallies where she was a guest speaker.

When I checked out the IMDB listing for this movie they just had Keitel, Stephen Root (red stapler guy) and some other no-name. I had no idea she would be in this movie.

I know actors have to work, hell her husband Ed Harris probably makes enough for both of them, but she's talented enough that she'll keep getting parts out there.

I'm just sadden that she would do this crap and I would love to write or email her and ask her why!

when I saw that she was in this horror. She and Ed have done a lot for the Democrats and I love her. I have no idea how to contact her, sorry.

She just doesn't lend her names for some website - she gets out there and takes part in the rallies and speaks at them. Her, Jessica Lange and Kathleen Turner to name a few

we will hear some of these actors speaking out about this? I know others have from time to time when they have been in something that turns out to be different than they thought it was supposed to be.

She is wonderful, I have always respected her talent and her support for women's issues.

5. That's what I'm hoping

I can't imagine her ever doing something that would provide such misinformation from the republican propaganda machine. My only guess is she was given her part of the script and never saw the rest.

I mean, if you don't see the entire script beforehand, you might thing you're doing some kind of good service by being in this movie

6. I know how to contact her, but

wow, this is weird, I had no idea she was a part of this. She's an acquaintance. And she really is a fireball lefty. I, certainly, won't speak for her, but I have a very hard time believing she would have had anything to do with this had she known the slant it would be coming from. Perhaps, the script changed? I'd call them and find out what's going on, but she's probably freaking out right now.

send her this link and let her know that we know she is not one of the people attempting to mislead the public. It might make her feel a little better about things. :shrug:

She is wonderful and so is Ed, love them both and can't imagine she had any idea what this was to become.

8. If you know her just ask her to speak out against this

I will buy the concept that some of these actors were not given a complete script when they chose to do the role. Perhaps Keitel and Madigan thought that they were doing some good, like the 'Flight 93' or 'World Trade Center' movies where they could capture that moment of time and help our country answer "WHY".

But I don't know Amy Madigan, but I am very aware of her work and up until about 10 minutes ago an amazing admirer of both her and her husband Ed Harris.

If we could get some of the stars like Amy Madigan to speak out about this it would be of great help. I know the risk - she and her husband could be blackballed by the Disney studios, but there are so many other studios out there.

In 1995, Her and her husband Ed Harris joined hundreds of other Academy Award attendees in snubbing the recepient of the Honorary Oscar, director Elia Kazan. Kazan was a great director (On the Waterfront), but basically buckled under the McCartney hearings and sold out many of his fellow actors and actresses, accusing them of being communists. That action by Kazan probably destroyed the lives of many of the stars of that time and that was why many actors including Madigan & Harris refused to stand-up and/or applause.

This movie is doing the same injustice as those hearings - it's nothing but lies and propaganda. She needs to speak up and bring to light about her thoughts on the movie and whether she read the entire script or not

9. Madigan's presence is just the first of MANY surprises

I have the strong suspicion that this movie is "poke-in-the-eye" stuff from start to finish. The very fact that it was given next to no substantive publicity during filming, and that screeners were only released to conservatives, tells me that it has been intended as a propaganda piece from the very first.

Most of the cast, too, consists of relative unknowns; it's Madigan and Keitel and a bunch of no-names, though I'm sure some of them aren't wingnuts.

I don't fear the movie, though, and I will probably watch it to see how far it deviates from what we know about 9-11. This thing is going to produce some major blowback for ABC, Team Bush, and the Republican Party. The Press will try to say it's a get-back for Michael Moore's stuff, but Moore's movies and books have always been substantially accurate, in spite of pundit spin.

So, what can WE groundlings do? Use this as a Golden Opportunity to scream bloody murder. We don't even have to expect our elected Democrats to lift a finger -- they can keep strictly "clean hands" on this issue, and can say, "you Republicans sure offended The Will Of The People this time!" The Myth of the Libbrul Media may have been on its deathbed for decades, but this is its shot of euthanasia. Let's run with this.
