Boy Our Gas Prices Really Dropped Overnite
We went from 2.429 to 2.359.

It is really irritating that the prices we paid for so long were so artificially high. But I am really glad to see them coming back down.

2. Bush needs support and he thinks he can manipulate a few extra poll points
so the congress knuckles under to him - - again. Falling gas prices helps the election climate for GOPs.

3. I'd love to see some investigation on price gouging!
I thought I remembered hearing Spector was going to hold hearings about it, but that was a couple of months ago! I haven't heard anything since.

4. The oil companies will probably keep prices lower until November.
And if that's all it takes to fool American voters, then we are fucked.

21. Comment
I was at the salon and a stylist was talking to two elderly women. She said something about gas prices coming down and one lady said something about the election. Then the other said that everything was going to be different after this election. These were women in their eighties or older!

26. It'll be different, all right.
Today, Tony Snow said, "We don't think Democrats are going to win." Period. They are going to lie, cheat, and steal this election. And, when they're done, I fear that we will see an unleashing of fascism beyond what any of us who didn't live through WWII could ever have imagined.

how fast the prices drop and the investigation goes away. Amazing

Edited on Fri Sep-08-06 09:26 AM by w4rma
Then sell your commodities after election day. You'll make money.

10. This isn't even half the story.
There is a company in New Jersey that has the technology to pipe hot steam into dormant oil wells and release the oil from the shale.

They are willing to do it for nothing just for a percentage of the oil that comes out of the well. They are confident they can get anywhere from 200 to 1,500 barrels a day from each of these wells. They have already proven it works.

The oil companies have thousands of capped oil wells that this company has contacted them about and not one has responded.

Did you know that? Now, how angry are you about the prices.

11. Amazing, isn't it?
Odd how those prices just seem to have a mind of their own! If I were a bit more cynical I'd suspect foul play. But,nah, it's probably merely market flucuations.

Seriously, we invade an oil rich country and can't even get below $2 a gallong on gas. We suck at this war thing.

Prices are only dropping a few cents in California,
not the half a buck they have dropped in some red states.

19. Let me know when they hit 1.40.. just 2 1/2 year ago.
or better yet, 1.10 back in 99 or 90 cents in Summer of 98.

It says something when we get excited about 2.35 gas doesn't? I'm in KC and thought the same thing... Wow! ONLY 2.35... I'm ashamed.

claimed they hit such a huge oil reserve yesterday that the US. would have to depend on the saudi's oil 50% less, (yes, 50%!)
