Well, the general manager of the Indianapolis ABC affiliate has already expressed his thoughts on the issue in his blog at:
http://www.rtv6gm.com I sent in my comments anyway. Perhaps the rest of you would like to join in!
Here's an excerpt from his blog:
"So, my faith in humanity is restored. Now it’s the liberals.
Typical e-mail: I understand that you will be airing The Path to 9/11. Are you aware that this is a right-wing slanted viewpoint represented by Cyrus Nowrasteh? He is a self described ”unabashed conservative”.
I get it. ABC, formerly enemy of the right, now has a conservative agenda and is out to destroy Bill Clinton (and maybe Hillary), the Democratic Party and whoever gets in the way of the producers.
Here’s what ABC says: “The Path to 9/11 is a dramatization, not a documentary, drawn from a variety of sources, including the 9/11 Commission Report, other published materials and from personal interviews. The events that lead to 9/11 originally sparked great debate, so it’s not surprising that a movie surrounding those events has revived the debate. The attacks were a pivotal moment in our history that should never be forgotten and it’s fitting that the discussion continues.”
It’s a drama, folks. It relies heavily on the report of 9/11 Commission headed by former Governor Thomas Kean ( Republican - New Jersey), who was also an advisor on the film. And ABC will frequently disclaim the content in verbiage similar to that above.
So, tune in Sunday (and Monday). After you’ve seen it, form an opinion. And let us know"
