Senate: No prewar Saddam-al-Qaida ties
http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20060908/ap_on_go_co/iraq_report

WASHINGTON - There's no evidence Saddam Hussein had ties with al-Qaida, according to a Senate report on prewar intelligence that Democrats say undercuts President Bush's justification for invading Iraq.

It concludes that postwar findings do not support a 2002 intelligence community report that Iraq was reconstituting its nuclear program, possessed biological weapons or ever developed mobile facilities for producing biological warfare agents.

It discloses for the first time an October 2005 CIA assessment that prior to the war Saddam's government "did not have a relationship, harbor, or turn a blind eye toward Zarqawi and his associates."

White House press secretary Tony Snow said the report was "nothing new."

1. They've moved on to...
Saddam was training terrorists... not the terrorists that have already attacked, but "the next batch".

3. Lying is a "conservative" value so this is a plus for bush
No doubt faux can exploit this by doing an expose about how the dems and liberals throughout the country were on a constant search for the truth. How totally unpatriotic.

7. The answer is this:
Keep revealing the lies...don't give up...but we have to change the Congress to do it. Vote in November!

8. According to this administration, if you tell a lie and the people believe
it, then it is no longer a lie.

In the words of the great George Costanza, "It's not a lie...if you believe it."

12. Okay here is my official theory
They all drink HEAVILY to forget that they are homosexuals. Seriously I mean this-they drink so much that they completely forget what they said the day before and the week before is out of the question. They all just act like it didn't happen and no one calls them on it.

That is by far the most likely explanation for their behavior.

About the gay thing-I don't mean that in an accusatory way I really do think that what became the elite of the elite in the think tanks recruited gays at Harvard (mostly) and Yale-some other Ivy League type schools- back in the late 60's and early 70's. These were social darwinists who held tightly the belief that these were clearly superiorly bred gene pools that had distinguished themselves from the pack of immigrants of the early part of the century. They needed capable bodies and the fact that these men were gay meant that they would forever be loyal as their ultimate fear of being outed could be held over their heads. The rest, as they say, is just wearing a suit and hanging the diploma.

Cheney
Bolton
Roberts
Alito
Norquist
Drier (not Harvard)
etc.

This is my one and only conspiracy theory...that and the one about how they killed Pat Tillman before he could get back to the States and hand Kerry an unfixable landslide.

15. Absolutely nothing less will do.
Unless and until the senior members of this regime are prosecuted and imprisoned for war crimes and crimes against humanity, this nation (and all of us) is an outlaw nation.

19. We should never let bush and members of his junta have
a moment of peace. They should not be able to go out in public without hearing taunts and seeing signs of protest. Every day on earth should be a reminder that we hold them responsible for the murder of innocents, and for ripping the heart out of our country.

16. I hate the whole lying lot of them...
Bush, Cheney, Rice, Rumsfeld, Wolfowitz, Tenet, Powell, Scooter, Rove. The hardest part, for me, is deciding who deserves my hatred at any given moment!!

The options are limitless!

17. Why is that man still free? If they can know this "post" invasion, they
could have known it "pre" invasion...

it's just that simple

Bush lied. GOP controlled Congress didn't bother to investigate those lies BEFORE invading. People are dead for those lies.

24. There is no Hell deep enough for the GOP...
A previous report in 2004 made clear the intelligence agencies' "massive failures," said Sen. Kit Bond, R-Mo., a member of the committee. "Yet to make a giant leap in logic to claim that the Bush administration intentionally misled the nation or manipulated intelligence is simply not warranted."

Foreign intel got it right. And so did American intel. Someone should remind Sen. Bond and the rest of his GOP thugs and cutthroats that what they were told by American intel and what Bush wanted to hear were two separate things.

There was no "massive failure" in the intel agencies: the only problem with intelligence takes place between Bush's ears...
