Ahhhhnold has Macacca Moment and Blitzer (CNN) plays it!
Hot blooded Cubans, Puerto Ricans, etc...and that "black strain of blood."

He played the SHOCKING CLIP and says it's coming up again on his 7:00 p.m. show...but I think for those who don't watch CNN you will soon find in on the Net so you can here this "Austrian Nazi with his accent" trash Latino's and Puerto Ricans, Cubans for their HOT BLOOD with black strain.

Sheesh....How good can it get? Exposing the RACISTS wherever they lurk like cockroaches that only come out in the night.

The snip was captured on some sound recording in a closed meeting Ahhhhnold held months ago.

No matter how hard the Repugs try to keep a lid on the pressure cooker of hate and bigotry inside them, sooner or later a gasket gives and thar she blows!

"Black strain of blood;" what an asshole.

24. The Gropenator obviously never took that "How racist...
Edited on Fri Sep-08-06 07:16 PM by Kutjara
...are you" test that was going around the Net awhile back.

One of the questions was along the lines of "what is the percentage genetic difference between black people and white people?" The correct answer is "zero." There are, in fact, likely to be more genetic variations between any two randomly selected white people (or black people, or Asian people) as there are between the 'average' genomes of any racial groups. Skin color and facial features are merely manifestations of genes we all possess, responding to differing environmental influences over time.

So there's no such thing as 'black blood' or 'tempermental redheads' or 'stingy Scotsmen'. Any perceived differences are cultural, and not related to what's running through our veins or coded in our DNA.

If Latin blood was more 'fiery' than other types, then wouldn't people who had a transfusion using that blood suddenly become more temperamental?

2. This will cost Ahnold votes.
California is full of people who ignore the party and vote for the guy they "like" best. Ahnold just exposed a side of himself that will make him a whole lot less likable in the minds of many voters. Good.

In middle class minority communities, I heard of quite a few people that DID NOT even get ballots for that election. :eyes:

So sure, some probably did go for the celebrity factor--others that they knew would not, never got a chance to weigh in. Kind of like Diebold, just more effective. Can't vote with no ballot or polling place...

6. THE RACE CARD IS BEING PLAYED....
Yes, I think I heard Sam Seder talking about this. It's all they have left. They have to motivate their racist base. And that's what all these race comments are all about.

Is anyone keeping track of how many there have been since Macaca? Isn't this like number 5 or 6?

9. It's a double-edged sword, though.
They risk turning off a whole bunch of people who aren't bigots. Hell one of the biggest Bush lovers I ever met was a freeper type guy who was married to a Hispanic woman. Ahnold did himself no favors.

10. Hmm, interesting....
You would seem to be right that Arnold did himself no favors, even though that comment is so over the top I doubt that it's an authenticly (sp?) spontaneous comment.

But as for the first part, I think those who aren't bigots are going to stay home. If the more moderate cons aren't going to show, you'd damn sure better motivate the ones who are likely to show. And let's be real, race (or more correctly "otherism" - all not like myself are bad - covers gays, foreigners, Liberals, etc.) is the central motivation of Conservatism (as currently practiced).

Edited on Fri Sep-08-06 09:14 PM by LibDemAlways
Freeper types really aren't fond of Ahnold to begin with (pro-choice, not a fundie), so they are likely to sit this one out - particularly since Feinstein has no meaningful opposition in the Senate race and there don't seem to be any hot button issues on the ballot.

A motivated Democratic base could turn this around for Angelides since Ahnold is going to be depending on moderates and independents.

As an aside, since you mentioned him:

I happened to teach one of John Wayne's grandsons years ago. The boy's mother, Wayne's daughter Toni (who has since passed away), was down-to-earth and easygoing. You'd never have guessed she was the daughter of a big star. The kid looked (and walked) just like his grandfather. Often wonder what happened to him.

...smell something fishy with that? Arnold has tabled most of his hard-line conservative Nazi stances and has even brought the Democrats in California together to pass through some quasi-meaningfull legislation. I'm not a fan of his in the slightest and I believe he would grow a Hitler mustache if he thought it would help his career; but anytime Wolf the Liar starts attacking someone, I begin to wonder what Rove has against them. CNN doesn't air anything that isn't stamped by Rove's propaganda department so why is Wolf allowed to "attack" the Govenator?

didn't get your post...but it's undeniable that Arnold spoke racist words that were as bad or worse than "Maccaca" and I was glad that Blitzer led off with the snip.

But...you'll have to wait to hear the real snip in context because Blitzers 7:00 p.m. show didn't have the whole clip that his early 5:00 p.m. show had and he promised to repeat. Seems Blitzer got a "call from upstairs" to not air the whole snip in context with Arnold's whole statement caught on tape.

By MICHAEL R. BLOOD, Associated Press Writer 38 minutes ago

SANTA MONICA, Calif. - Gov.
Arnold Schwarzenegger apologized Friday for saying during a closed-door meeting that Cubans and Puerto Ricans are naturally feisty and temperamental because of their combination of "black blood" and "Latino blood." He said the tape-recorded comments "made me cringe" when he read them in Friday's Los Angeles Times.

"Anyone out there that feels offended by those comments, I just want to say I'm sorry, I apologize," Schwarzenegger said. He added that if he heard his children make similar comments, "I would be upset."

The furor comes amid a re-election campaign in which the Republican has tried to mend fences with Democrats and moderates and look more statesmanlike and less like the swaggering action hero he played on screen. Schwarzenegger has a history of making off-the-cuff remarks that get him in trouble. He called California legislators "girlie men" and "losers" and talked of kicking nurses' butts.

During California's 2003 recall election, he was accused of groping or otherwise mistreating women on movie sets and other locations. He apologized for having "behaved badly sometimes."

The statements about Hispanics and blacks were captured on a six-minute tape made during a March 3 speechwriting session between Schwarzenegger and his advisers. On it, Schwarzenegger and chief of staff Susan Kennedy speak affectionately of state Assemblywoman Bonnie Garcia and speculate about her nationality.

I know that the southern California media is full of shit. They have been bought (it seems) by Hollywood and spend more time covering who's fucking who, who was harassed by the paparazzi, etc.

I sometimes play the "but is this news.." game with my husband. We watch the news and every story that is bullshit, one of us says, "but how is this news?" For me, news is something that affects US ALL. Having a governor that thinks women are objects and people with black blood are wild is news and a HUGE problem.

Notice how much more airplay the Gibson story got here than anywhere else? :puke:
