They lead with a story of an escaped murderer who's been on the lamb for 6 months. Who cares? There are 2, maybe 3 counties in NY that are involved, and it's old news for them. This does not have any national news value compaired to the dozens who are killed in Iraq every day. This convict hasn't even accosted anyone since he's been loose. There are no victims!

this guy shot 3 police officers so far and one has died. It is a very big story. They have him cornered now and hopefully this dangerous man is finally caught. It is a very big story in this area and he was put on the FBI's 10 Most Wanted list so I think the whole thing is of national interest. Of course Iraq is a big story and it is on the news every day but there is other news aside from that.

right now of course it is alleged until he is proven guilty by a jury. He has now been captured as of this evening and everyone is very happy this criminal is in custody. I didn't think it was possible, but she actually got through a 30 minute broadcast without providing any actual NEWS. And the amount of time devoted to the Flight 93/Shanksville, PA segment was ridiculous. Whomever is advising her regarding her wardrobe ("Handiwipes" is an extremely generous description of her blouse this evening. All summer to prepare, and that's the best they could do?) and her story choices is clearly out to get her. And the sooner, the better....
