Tell people to sell sell sell.

The only way to hurt them, is in the pocket.

1. Selling their stock doesn't hurt them at all.
It might - if enough people do it - drive the value of the stock down momentarily long enough for someone to buy all the lowered-price stock and then make a hefty profit when it quickly rebounds.

Selling the stock also means your right to vote and to bring shareholder resolutions to the annual meeting.

I think a lot of people think that if you sell stock, you are forcing the company to buy it, or somehow taking money out of their pocket.

2. Right

Driving down the value of the stock would mainly hurt pension funds, endowments and insurance companies that own the stock. And while harming insurance companies could be a good thing, it's not worth it if the other institutions (not to mention individual shareholdres) get hurt, too.

3. Controversy and a boycott will drive it down on it's own....
Companies that make bad decisions end up screwing themselves and scare investors.

5. Who?
That's how.
Once upon a time there was a company named after its founder, one Walt Disney.
Walt made a nice chunk of change providing fabulous animated features and cutting edge family recreation during the 20th century.
In the fullness of time he died. No one gets out alive, not even Walt.
His empire continued on inertia for a while, but eventually there was nothing left of Walt Disney but the name.
Disney is now just another of the soulless corporations acting in collusion to subvert American democracy.
If you must have their stuff, get it from pirate sources. That way they're cheated of the cash.
