This vid puts a face to writer Cyrus Nowrasteh and director David E. Cunningham. Nowrasteh is interviewed. He looks evil to me. He comes across as a self-serving, rethuglican robot who is only too happy to contribute his part to furthering the fascist agenda.

5. If..

Evangelicals were equated to the Sopranos, Nowrasteh looks like a Lieutenant who's been given orders to complete a task. Most directors have a vision of how they want their message translated on the screen leaving it up to the audience to decide the outcome. Nowrasteh's viewpoint seems to be an in your face approach. Rather clumsy in that the viewer is forced to accept what is actually being viewed on the screen as fact coupled with a contrivance of preconceived conclusions.

Further, if in fact we have overlooked the altruistic motivations for making this movie in the first place. In regards to historical accuracy, where most, if not all, of the subjects depicted in the film are still living, there begs the question; why weren't Madeline Albright, Sandy Berger or at least Bill Clinton, in the interests of historical accuracy, asked to be consultants for the film?

Why has a six hours film been "under wraps" so to speak, during the entire filming? If the film was done in the best interest of the public, wouldn't advance clips promoting the film been advertised on abc several weeks before the actual showing?

The whole thing smells fishy..sad though, Republicans have no shame and condone not only smearing the public officials before them but because of their radical ideas would subject families still recovering from the catastrophic 9/11 events insulting not only the memory of their lost loved ones but more importantly, the ones who are left behind.
