1. I have no problem with it

It was a foregone conclusion it was gonna pass. They got it out of the way and moved on to more contentious legislation. Sometimes that's a better way to deal with issues. Get the easy stuff taken care of and move on to the harder stuff.

2. There's that expression: 'foregone conclusion" which means

it was a bunch of b.s. because no one was inclined to address other, more important, issues. Maybe it's now good for both parties to keep mum til after November 7th.

3. Apparently this issue was so important that all the

tricky folks making up the US congress had to fly back to DC to take it up.
