Apparently horsemeat was being sold overseas. Right or wrong, Do you think this was valid for one of the first topics tackled?

It was a foregone conclusion it was gonna pass. They got it out of the way and moved on to more contentious legislation. Sometimes that's a better way to deal with issues. Get the easy stuff taken care of and move on to the harder stuff.
