Technology changed how troops fight and maintain family relationships.
Troops in Iraq play Russian Roulette every day with IEDs and help solve family problems in their spare time.

The question is which will happen first:
(1) a soldier will be killed or
(2) his/her marriage die from combat stress?

That’s an awful lot to ask from 143 thousand U.S. troops in Iraq who are essentially ignored by 299 million U.S. citizens until one of their loved ones is killed or wounded in combat.

1. My daughter's boyfriend..
is stationed in Afghanistan right now... he goes out on combat missions, then back at base he logs onto My Space to chat and keep in touch with his friends... who would've thunk it?

Of course, he can't say anything about what he's doing there and we all want him and his buddies to stay safe..
