NBC Today Show: Don Nicoletti, Advisor to Path to 9/11 Cries FOUL!

Former FBI agent and advisor to Path to 9/11 was on NBC Today this morning. He said ABC tasked him with notating all scenes that were sketchy or were otherwise false. He also said his impression was that it was a DOCUMENTARY, because all the names were real names, etc.

After he marked up the copy of the script, he said, ABC came back to him and blamed him for causing them thousands of dollars for rewrites, etc.

It sounded to me like ABC had a clear agenda and used Nicoletti simply as a public relations pretense, knowing they wouldn't listen to any damn thing he said. After Path to 9/11 aired with its fictitious lies, they could come back to the public and say, "Hey, we took all measures to ensure its accuracy - even hiring on Don Nicoletti, former FBI agent, to cooberate."

1. He "assumed" it was a documentary?

That's pretty weird in itself.

2. I think what he means is that it was PRESENTED to him as a documentary.

Real names, real events, etc. I would think so to if I were in his shoes.

Shows like 24 are dramatizations - screen names, fictitous hypothetical events, etc. 9/11 actually happened and thus to anybody it appears to be a documentary, especially since they are using real names.

to the actors they presented it as a historical look. they were looking to slide this through as a documentary. it was du that called them on thelies to the point they put out it was a docudrama with dramatization,fictional scenes and composites. that was just wed. prior to that he was absolutely sold as a factual movie
