What should Clinton and Berger do once they own Disney?
Because if they air the fascist propaganda in the 9-11 wack job miniseries without huge edits, the ensuing lawsuits will bankrupt Disney.

Maybe as new owners, Clinton and Berger will turn Disney into "DLCTV" and begin to counter the media's wall-to-wall GOP hate-filled fascist pro-corporate propaganda with some DLC slightly less hate-filled fascist pro-corporate propaganda.

Score!

1. I'm gonna say it even though I'm sure I'll be sorry...
The DLC is just as pro-corporate as the RNC.

2. Unfortunately, the ensuing lawsuit will not bankrupt Disney.
It will hurt their stock price far more than their wallet.

3. Berger might sue; Clinton will not
He's been very silent about this POS miniseries in spite of the fact that half the country has spoken out against it. I don't know why he's acting so spineless and allowing himself to be Swiftboated like this but I suspect it has something to do with his new best friend, poppy bush, and/or Hillary's presidential campaign.

7. Clinton is a Corporatist & skilled Politician , he knows to stay out of it
Edited on Sat Sep-09-06 02:18 PM by Cappadonna

One, Clinton is just as pro-corporate facism as the rest. It doesn't do the America Corporate State much good to have its favorite Neo-liberal ambassador getting into a pissing contest with Mickey Mouse.

But beyond that, Clinton is the consumate politician -- he knows better than jump in the mud with Disney. He gets swift boated even faster he starts going for the jugular. He also looks like a matuer statesman who has better things to do with his time than go through more civil suits. He'll stay above the frey and let guys like Berger and Albright take the really big blows.

income escaped your notice? To go from a net worth of few hundred thousand dollars in 1992 to tens of millions today is not the result of "wise investing", The Corporate Party pays very well.

4. There isn't the slightest possibility
that either Clinton or Berger will sue Disney/ABC over this matter.

If a theme of the show is that Clinton was distracted by his extramarital relationship problems during which he was caught lying under oath in a legal proceeding all played out in court during Hillary's run for president in '08 - not going to happen. Berger got caught taking documents from the National Archives and destroying them. Opposing council would have a field day deposing either of these two.
