Path to 9/11 - Can we sic the IRS on 'em?
I'm sorry if this is addressed in another thread, but there are so many threads on this topic, it's impossible to find all the details already posted.

I believe YWAM is a tax exempt organization.

As a member of the board of a tax exempt org, I know the penalty for using any of our resources for any political purpose is the loss of that tax exempt status.

So the question is: Is "The Film Institute," the group that produced this piece of crap part of YWAM's charter or is it a separate legal entity? If it's part of YWAM, we should be able to sic the IRS on them, no?

1. Interesting idea, but don't overlook FCC indecency complaints
http://www.fcc.gov/cgb/complaints.html

Most indecency, obscenity complaints are from the right wing. But I believe that deliberate lying about the American tragedy of 9/11 is no less obscene than Janet Jacksons boob.

2. I just spent more time than I would prefer, reading some of the info
about YWMA on their web site. They're not terribly specific, but it does appear they are a charity tax exempt org. However, they began in Switzerland, and also own a passenger liner they use as a base, but it appears to be in the Mediteranian somewhere. they do have bases in the US, but my guess is that although each individual base is responsible for obtaining their own funding, the excess is probably sent to oneHome Base which is more than likely in Switzerland whre this org. ws started.

If that's the case, I doubt the IrS would be much of a benefit to us.

I'm not familiar enough with tax law to know what the consequesces would be if a foreign "Swiss" Charity donated the $40MM to ABC for this movie project.
