So they did know that an attack was coming (perhaps imminently) that might very well involve hijacked planes. Till now I've always vacillated between LIHOP and criminally gross incompetence. In either case, it has been clearly evident that Bush used 9/11 to conduct his criminal invasion of Iraq.

But the very fact that Bush was being protected from an air threat in Sarasota suggests that he didn't pull the trigger himself. Bush obviously has not wanted to apprehend or kill OBL. Up till now I've attributed that primarily to the BFEE's financial links to the Bin Laden family.

Secondly, an Osama in the hand isn't nearly as useful as one in the Bush when you're playing the "terra" card. That would seem to have a limited shelf life before Americans eventually demanded Osama's head; but the same dim-wits that voted for Bush have been played so well that most of them STILL believe the lies about Iraqi WMDs and an Iraqi connection to Al Qaeda.

But I'm confused about the Pakistani ISI link. It's hard for me to believe that the ISI would take such a huge risk in financing the 9/11 attacks, unless it was in fact collaborating with the Bush Administration. The slow and very limited American military response in Afghanistan followed by the series of open escape doors (Kabul, Kunduz and Tora Bora) supports that view.

The Pakistani arrogance is breathtaking, practically American in scope, it seems. OBL and Al Qaeda are now officially off limits. As long as he remains "like a good citizen and doesn't engage in terrorist activities", he's free to stay.

What am I missing here?

i watch this and i go to mihop, but you are right. having those up there makes him aware but protecting self. if he did have hand, he wouldnt need them. there is also the van of m.e. looking men saying htey are journalist to talk to bush night before at hotel. makes no sense. they were turned away and said they were going for an assination. why? no way something like that would work, they gotta know.

Given the history we know, does it not seem likely that it is FINE WITH US that OBL is safe in Pakistan--He delivered to Bush exactly what he needed, and Bush gave him what he asked for--we left Saudi Arabian soil.

OBL was a CIA asset. Is there a retirement plan for that? I don't think so.

It seems impossible, but this is all part of "Plan B"-the Cheney-Rumsfeld empire.

13. i think the film is careful in its framing to

limit that question in the film, but allow it enough so that the viewer has no choice but to ask it... in the film it has more to do with them saying "no one could have imagined" and not so much any particular theory, as we simply do not know. oh, on c-span tomorrow, paul, director, producers, and family members will present a case to the public for a new 911 investigation... IMHO, they should start with Pakistan.
