Perhaps we need to stop the free publicity for ABC
all the reports and letters and posts have generated free publicity for ABC.

I hope the Clinton and Berger and Albright, and the estate of John O'Neil sue the shit out of ABC, once they have the evidence in hand.

And let's concentrate on the real issues.

Even Congress and Bush admit that there was no connection between 9/11 - since when is it called "Patriot day," BTW? - and this should be enough. Most voters now have short memory and rely on sound bites. Come November, this movie will long be forgotten, except for the RWers for whom the truth is a matter of opinion.

2. This IS a real issue
All the publicity is AGAINST them, and it's working toward opening many eyes that have been closed until now.

Our fight is WORKING.

3. What free publicity?
MSM, by and large, is only *reporting* that Clinton et al are upset - not one word that I've heard about the grassroots movement...

5. Could backfire
and illuminate some on Bush pre 9/11 intel, etc.

The uproar will likely have more bite than the movie.

8. Perhaps. But meanwhile many will watch some of it
to see what all the noise was about, and ABC will use the ratings to promote itself with advertisers for the rest of the year..

After all, both Lost and Desperate Housewives are getting old in year three and none was even nominated for the Emmy which, with all the excuses, can generate publicity with all the evening gowns and jewelry.

We will have to wait and see how many actually tuned in.. and how Bush's "speech to the nation" in the middle will affect any viewing.

7. been thinking this myself
It was probably all part of the plan. All this hub-bub will probably increase the ratings and that's the last thing we need is for more BS to be thrown out.

9. No
that was what Kerry's team thought about the swiftboaters. They will still do what they do, but we cannot be silent, it's not good for the soul. They need to know that we are out here and pissed.

10. Oh, but that was so different
The Swifters attacked Kerry - a candidate running for office - personally. Yes, they were mistaken by not responding immediately.

But Clinton is not running for office and the movie is not going to change opinion about the Democrats and Republicans approach to terror is, at least, not the minds already formed.

Even Bush now admits that Saddam was not behind 9/11 and Congressional committee found the same. So this is really a matter of ratings for ABC and the Clinton legacy.

12. Lies/slander
same thing whether you are running for office or not. Clinton has a business life since he has left office. You stand up for what is right because it is good for the soul. And they are politicizing 911 with lies. This is a matter of historical fact, as many historians are calling for this movie to be pulled. ABC is legitimizing these lies, and frankly I fight enough with misinformed Americans without them putting more shit out there. Their agenda is to destroy the democrat's credibility on fighting the war on terror evident by them spending 40 million before an election to do it.

14. Maybe...
But we can't stop fighting for what is right. Look at what the media has gotten away with and what they've aided and abetted with this administration. And look at the media conglomerates that perpetuate this, ABC included. This is just one small part of a pattern, and that pattern has to be fought tooth and nail.
