Can and will Clinton sue in the UK?
As you know, the BBC is planning to show Disney/ABC's defamatory "Path to 9/11" program in the UK on Sunday. I'm told by a friend that under UK libel laws there is no public person defense and damages and costs can both be in the millions. And, "British libel laws are considered pro-plaintiff, meaning that the defendant must prove that she or he did not commit libel."

http://americablog.blogspot.com/2006/09/will-clinton-berger-and-albright.html

The article points out that a nasty letter from his lawyers like the one he sent ABC would probably cause the BBC to pull it.

However, since he hasn't done so, he may be considering the lawsuit over there, where the law is on his side.

I sincerely hope he sues, period. It would be nice if he can WIN.

1. To give you an idea of just how pro plaintiff the laws there are
Liberace sued the British tabliods for saying he was gay and won.

2. I know.
The down side is that a trial in the UK will be hushed up here. Of course, once he wins in the UK (and it should be a slam dunk), he can then sue here with a win behind him.

I'd dearly love the see these bastards all walking around in barrels.

4. I hope that all of them sue: Clinton, Sandy, Albright, etc.
I hope that this tanks the Disney dynasty. They have snubbed the public's trust and need to go DOWN.

5. This is absolutely true. What are the laws in Australia and New
Zealand like? Do they follow English Common Law? May be a big payday coming up.

9. Why has he NEVER fought back?
Every time the GOP has pissed on Clinton, he has just shut up and taken it. If it was me, I would have fought back from the start and never give those Christians a single inch!
