Attempting to get addresses for their mico-direct mail targeting.

They came up to me with a clipboard and said "Hi, we're from the Republican Party".

I laughed at them and walked off.

Probably too rude. Oh well.

We're pretty heartless about that, but it isn't always intentional. It's an old habit, being obssessed with one's own weight causes people to forget to be considerate of others. I know.

If it is just an objective statement of fact as it may have been in the OP, there's still the question of all of the observations a person could make about someone else, why that one?

But also, Not all people who say something similar to " ________________ people" are prejudiced and discriminatory toward _______________ , sometimes it is just a statement of fact, sometimes it isn't. The question is which kind of person is making any given statement.

10. A nice lady came to my door to urge me to vote. I asked if she was a

Democrat. She said yes, and of course, I explained I voted straight Democrat.

She was very pleasant and nice - and slim (not that it makes any difference.)

It must be some kind of get out the vote day for both parties - I'm in NC.
