3. I'm voting for Bush and 9/11 was LIHOP. Same goes for Katrina
Edited on Sat Sep-09-06 05:18 PM by IanDB1
But "my gut" tells me Bush didn't expect any planes to be hitting Wasshington, DC. The second plane hitting the tower might have even been a surprise. But I think he knew that at least one plane was going to hit The WTC.

I think he knew about the attack on New York in advance and let it happen on purpose.

Perhaps, he even took steps to make sure it would happen. All that stuff with NORAD looks suspicious to me.

But I don't think that Invisible Jewish Elves (TM) packed the towers with explosives just in case hitting them with jumbo jets wouldn't pack enough "oomph."

5. A man who was in way over his head
Look at his eyes during those seven minutes.

I do not believe he knew what was going to happen. I think he MAY have thought we were going to get hit, but not here at home. I think he was over-confident in his underlings and too dismissive of the Clinton Administration, which successfully foiled the Millenium Plot: If they could do it, so could he and his people.

But to say he knew, or even actively helped it happen, is as wreckless and misguided as saying FDR knew the Japanese were going to hit us at Pearl Harbor.

Bush is guilty of (among other things) incompetence, overconfidence and apathy to be sure, but he didn't know we were going to get hit that morning, he didn't allow it to happen and at that moment he was probably pretty upset by it. Of course, it didn't take long for he and the GOP spin machine to turn it into a political gain. That is what amazes me the most: they took the most collossal failure in American history and turned it into a positive. A hundred years from now historians will probably be trying to figure out how...

9. I'm on the fence
between let it happen and made it happen. I really don't think he's bright enough to make it happen. Now, rove or cheney, well, that's another story. It wouldn't surprise me if little dick planned it to boost his profits.

10. I picked "Other" even though I'm a LIHOP person. Here's why:
The question is about Little Lord Pissypants PERSONALLY, and I don't believe he knew anything ahead of time. On the contrary, I think Cheney and the rest of the cabal would have been very careful to keep him out of the loop, so that if worse came to worse he could preserve his "deniability."

12. Except for 3 planes, the entire NE air defense was doing a
test to see what would happen if palnes were hyjacked. They had fake hyjacked airplanes on the air traffic controllers screens. None of the air force planes had ammo. It was not just luck that they picked on one day in the entire year that the air defense was useless.

Then there was the falling buildings. And the amazing amount of effort the gov't spent to get everything out of the country before it could be investigated. And the large amount of effort to make sure there was no official investigation for years.

14. Bush himself, or the Bush Administration?
Edited on Sat Sep-09-06 06:38 PM by Marr
I don't think George is even invited to the important meetings. He's a mascot, like Ronald McDonald.

I personally believe that Bush Administration officials let the attacks happen on purpose. They may have even passed word to some key Saudis that the front door was open.

They would never let him know about it. His job was to sit there and look stupid, he performed admirably.

20. Idiot in Chief
I don't buy all the conspiracy theories.

BushCo just used the incident to promote himself and his PNAC cronies used it to push their agenda.

A small band of fantatics scored a major victory because of the "Bring 'em on!", "Smoke 'em out!", "Mission Accomplished!", adolescent reactions to what should have been an international police matter.
