"Clinton Got A Blowjob" gets national radio play!
Category: Music
So I get a call from my friend Freebo (www.freebo.com) in Los Angeles saying "Congratulations Eric" and I'm like "What For?" and he's like "I was just listening to Air America, and Ed Schultz (www.wegoted.com) played "Clinton Got A Blowjob." And I'm like WHAT? So I thank Freebs and google Ed and call his producer James who's like ERIC SCHWARTZ? WE'VE BEEN TRYING TO GET IN TOUCH WITH YOU...WANNA BE ON NATIONAL RADIO? So I'm like sure but he's like we need to call you at a land line and I'm like I don't have a landline I only have a cellphone and Vonage which seems to bite weeny sonically and I'm like I'll have to find someone with a land line and I call all my Brooklyn friends (2) and no-one's home so I go out into the street and walk down the street and I see this guy on 6th avenue watering his plants and I'm like do you have a landline and he's like yeahhhhh(?) and I'm like can I receive a phone call in your house at 5:30 it's a national radio show that wants to interview me and he's like fine here's the phone number.
So I'm like what should I do to maximize this? Oh, yeah, my friend Annie Wenz (www.anniewenz.com) told me about this company called mysongstore.com which will let you sell single mp3s from your site and they take like 27 cents per dollar and do all the credit card stuff and i"m like why not so I call the guy (Gene) and in the next half an hour he sets me up and I post the link on the front page (www.ericschwartz.com) and run off to the interview. Which I do, which goes well, 'cept I get hate mail from Christians (Ironic, no?) after the show cuz I mentioned "Keep Your Jesus Off My Penis."
And I get back to my house and MY SITE IS DOWN. THE WHOLE SERVER IS DOWN cuz they posted a free link to my song and did about 5gb of bandwidth in three hours. Half an hour later service comes back and PEOPLE ARE ACTUALLY BUYING THE SONG! IT'S WORKING! I'M GETTING A RECEIPT FOR EVERY TIME SOMEONE BUYS THE SONG! HOW FUCKING COOL! Thanks, mysongstore.com! You my boyz.
All that in order to say:
THANKS ED SCHULTZ! (Big Eddie, I believe he's called, and in fact he's not Air America but they share the same airwaves) and THANKS, MY SONGSTORE.COM!
