If ABC goes ahead as we expect they will - it's imperative for us to DEMAND a rebuttal.

9. The problem is that there aren't sides in this story but

absolute truths and facts. The fact that they have chosen to distort the truth means that the real facts need to come out somewhere, but I doubt it will be from them. I find it so disgusting and heinous that they would take this tragedy in American history and try to politicize it that I don't have words to express my outrage.

the law to restore it was vetoed by Reagan.

Clinton had a chance to restore it by fiat - the same way Reagan ended it - but Clinton did not want to be seen as interfering with the media.

So I doubt "equal time" requests will get very far.

10. There is a good political argument there

as other posts have pointed out there is not a legal leg to stand on. But that is not whats important. Even if Disney refuses some type of rebuttal time it can make them look crooked, particularly if the backgrounds of the writer and director is exposed.

12. I think ABC should be required to offer the use of 'Factoids' to a panel

... of selected Democrats and independent journalists ... and have them pop up like post-its every time a factual inaccuracy or one-sided piece of crap surfaces. ABC certainly has the technology.

The same thing could be added to the DVD ... like a commentary track. :shrug:

The false pretense of 'unbiased'/'factual' is blown away when one considers how easily this might've been done.
