What is the Dems "elevator message"?

I just got back from a fundraiser where the good Dem candidates were encouraging everyone to pick 5 friends and get them to vote Democratic.

So what is my "elevator message" that I can give these people? What can I tell them that will get their attention and turn their opinion around in the time it takes to share an elevator ride with someone.

Warning, this is harder to do than it sounds.

(1) redeploy from Iraq,
(2) re-commit to Afghanistan,
(3) reduce our dependence on foreign oil,
(4) reform our homeland defense, and
(5) restore America’s moral authority and leadership in the world.

Kerry's plan is all foreign policy, not saying its bad.

2. If the repugs keep the majority in Nov

bush has promised to take away your social security benefits. I think the WSJ reported on this today. Its an issue EVERYONE should care enough about to vote dem. Of course, I'm an old codger so I may be out of touch.
