Drug row hits Idol finalist

"AUSTRALIAN Idol finalist Lavina Williams has been caught up in allegations she baked a batch of marijuana-laced muffins for castmates while starring in The Lion King.

Lavina, who tonight faces her moment of truth on the high-rating reality show, emphatically denies the claims, but admits she quit the cast of the multimillion-dollar Disney musical while it was playing in Melbourne.

The talented 27-year-old singer has revealed she left the show in May, two weeks before the end of the Melbourne season, following a meeting with Disney management about the allegedly laced treats.

"They said either you leave or we will do something about it," said Williams, the older sister of Young Divas star and 2005 Idol runner-up Emily.

She said she had sought legal advice and spoke to her family before reluctantly deciding to leave the show."
