How many people remember their name?

A terrorist attack of equal or less size than 9/11 will have about the same impact terrorist attacks do in Israel and Europe. People will be pissed for a while, but essentially shake it off, the way people do fires and earthquakes here in Los Angeles. Every other year, fires burn about half the houses in Malibu, and after a couple of months, somebody will buy that freshly bared property and put up another just as flammable house.

Anything less than a mushroom cloud won't get people's attention.
