A bit of a self congratulatory post. My ltte got published.

Today, September 10, 2006, my letter to the editor got published in our local paper, the Quad City Times. I railed against the TV program which ABC is showing tonight and pointed out facts. What is kind of funny is that there is a section to comment on letters and articles and mine is drawing some fire. One person seems to think I'm a guitar player for Aerosmith. Great letter. I was just over there to see if they printed my comment and they finally did (I'm "TheDoorbellRang"). They've got a whacky system where you have to type in a code before posting. Took over an hour, but it's up now.

I counted 12 bushbots out of 39 comments -- @31%. The backwash is alive and well. And what's with the guy making the veiled threat about knowing your name now. Seems to me the Nazis were known for their thuggishness, too.

Thanx for the kind words. "TheDoorbellRang" is the user name I thought up long after I joined DU. I wish I could change it here, too.

18. After the last presidential election, there was a name change amnesty.

People could change names without losing posts and other info. Some people who joined than had names that were time or candidate sensitive.
