Drinking for Peace

I'm drinking beer. It's a beautiful, sunny, not too warm day.

I'm drinking because I've been through a tough time lately, and I'm relaxing and trying to forget.

I'm trying to forget what I'm going through personally.

I'm trying to forget what a lock the other side has on the media, and how many fools will believe every damn sound they spew.

I'm trying to forget that this country is headed for 2700 US soldier/citizens murdered in a war that makes no sense in Iraq.

I'm trying to forget that soldier/citizens are being killed every day in Afghanistan, and that no one pays attention other than the families of the dead.

I'm trying to forget that the elections are coming up again, and will most likely be stolen again due to manipulation of the machines, and a seemingly never ending supply of "people" like K Harris to certify the lies.

I'm trying to forget that I'm still pissed off about 2000, and 2002, and 2004.

I'm trying to drink for Peace. Peace of mind.

It's a temporary solution to a seemingly permanent problem, but what else is a person supposed to do?
