The Greatest fortunes are made during the rise or collapse of a society
Edited on Sun Sep-10-06 01:58 PM by elehhhhna

The Greatest fortunes are made during the rise or collapse of a society. This old truth pre-dates Greenspan, Jesus, and Aristotle. The BushCabal knows this truth well.

It is simply more expeditious for the BushCabal to steal our country--and others--BLIND as opposed to working for a better economy and improved standards of living. Lazy thieves create chaos, to both boost and cover up their crimes.

It's obvious.

America and her treasury are victims of smash & grab.

4. How much money do these people need anyway? Surely,
they are way beyond the point of ever needing another dollar added to their bank accounts.

Just exactly what is that they are ultimately after? Can some people really, truly be driven by so much desire for money and power that they would destroy everything that gives meaning to both?

5. To the corporate raiders who took over our federal gov't
the U.S. is just another corporation they can run into the ground for short term enrichment of the stockholders.

It's the same mentality that has run some of the largest, seemingly invincible corporate institutions such as General Motors, into the ground. When tactics like layoffs and outsourcing don't make the stockholders feel like they are getting richer enough, fast enough, then it's time for some good old fashioned book-cooking. None of these people give two shits about long term health and stewardship of their companies. It's all about looting and plundering until the withering corpse is finally sucked dry. At which point it is simply discarded. They act like they will always find other targets to loot. Maybe they're right.

I have a close family member who works at a Delphi plant. This plant is historically significant and played a big part in the auto industry and the history of this town and its families for generations. The plant is filled with memorabilia and historical artifacts that have been "forgotten" by Delphi, the corporate giant which took it over sometime in the 90s IIRC. Delphi allowed this site to die on the vine over the past decade, to the point where there were only a few hundred employees where once there were thousands. Delphi recently hired temps to come in there and do the same jobs, for less money/benefits and no union protection. These temps eat their lunches sitting on high end office furniture which they've salvaged from the abandoned offices where the top executives once went about their work of destroying and mismanaging the company. These executives were moved to Delphi headquarters and their former offices are now in ruins. Delphi allowed the ceilings to collapse from water damage on the flat roofs of the structure, probably from blocked gutters. The majogany panelling, high tech AV equipment and luxury furnishings were allowed to become home to the racooons who came in through the collapsed ceilings. But the temp workers have been able to salvage some of the fancy chairs, dragging them from the abandoned executive areas to their break room.

The scenes that have been described to me by my relative, seem to illustrate perfectly the modern corporate executive mentality. They shuck off an entire factory like an old set of clothes. These are the people who are running our government now. They don't care about the wreckage they'll leave behind. They have no loyalty, no patriotism -- just lip service to these values. But their real attitudes can be seen in the factories which sit there like abandoned party stores. That's what the U.S. will become if these people continue to be in charge, and they really don't care.

6. It's also obvious to me that the object is to destroy the U.S.
Then the World Bank will take over and control everything-including our water rights which are key-until the thugs set up shop again to run the country as they choose. Dictatorship or Kingdom....if they are not stopped in time. :scared:

This is their M/O. You can't trace the receipts if there aren't any.

chaotic conditions that make the stealing easy will bury this until a time of calm. Like you said by that time the money is gone. If conditions were normal, it would be hard to steal and not be caught soon afterwards.

In Janice Karpinsky's book, "One Womans Army" she talks about cases of cash found in Saddam's palaces that was doled out to contracters supposedly for rebuilding. No one had accounted for the amount of money found, nor money spent or given away. Now I am sure eventually some paperwork will turn up that will trace some of the money, but in the meantime it's gone with nothing to show for it.

11. The money is not "gone" though...and further, the Caymans, Isle of Man,

Jersey Isles, etc. have all recently opened up their banking laws to comply w/ heavy pressure from other countries -- just as Switz. did several years ago.

The cash may be "gone" but that's a drop in the bucket compared to the vast wealth that's been nicked. Hal/KBR, for one, does not do biz in cash (except for their bribes in Africa, etc.) Due to new U.S. Corp. reporting laws, they are up the creek once the investigations commence. for their foreign/offshore subsidiaries. KBR is but one of many companies where paper trails exist--and if paper trails are "lost", missing, etc., (this also applies to their foreign/offshore subsidiaries), their EXECS are personally on the line for massive, confiscatory fines and PRISON TIME.

The spate of Politician founded "Charities" will assuredly be investigated and this promises plenty of jail time. Ask Mrs. DeLay.

12. Did you know about this?
Corporations in BushCo's good graces can conceal big gains and losses on their books if they pertain to "national security". And these days, what DOESN'T pertain to national security? This story scares me for many reasons.

Intelligence Czar Can Waive SEC Rules

Now, the White House's top spymaster can cite national security to exempt businesses from reporting requirements

President George W. Bush has bestowed on his intelligence czar, John Negroponte, broad authority, in the name of national security, to excuse publicly traded companies from their usual accounting and securities-disclosure obligations. Notice of the development came in a brief entry in the Federal Register, dated May 5, 2006, that was opaque to the untrained eye.

16. Dems can kill that "law" and audit anyway. The burden of proof that it's
a matter of NatSec will rest on the company & the Atty Gen'l, and once we toss the Bush Junta on its ear, GOOD LUCK WITH THAT.

Shareholder & other class-action lawsuits will help this come out as well.

15. It's the "collapse" that is the tricky part
Edited on Tue Sep-12-06 07:20 PM by Mike03
In my opinion you are right on target, and the writing has been on the wall that this collapse was coming for (at least) three years. The hard part is not profiting during the Rise, but profiting from the Fall. Not only the political and corporate "elite" do that: anyone who has the luxury of really paying attention to the markets, the domestic and global news, and trends can profit from the collapse. You will see many so-called survivalists do well because they understood that gold had no choice but to rally during a petroleum bull market and a dollar bear market. There were so many warnings out there, but many people have either ignored them consistently, or were unfortunately, due to circumstances, not in a position to take advantage of them.
