For the ones who still watch CBS Evening News
Does Couric still have a segment about the fallen in Iraq, that Dan Rather started?

2. No, I don't think so
At least I haven't noticed it. I have seen the show two or three times.

9. It is better
than I had anticipated. I really liked Scheiffer, but Katie has some intriguing features. I might even forgive her for having Rush Limp-One on, if she gives fair time to his opposition (normal people). Her delivery is quiet and she doesn't come off as perky, which is a huge relief. I was thinking it would be kind of "McNews" or something.

4. That segment stopped quite awhile before Schieffer left. Guess
they think Americans can't handle the truth.

5. And tomorrow, no doubt, they will honor the victims of 9/11
and will ignore the ones that have been paying for using these victims as excuse since then.

6. I loath Couric
Just had to say that. I haven't been able to sit through the CBS evening news since she started. The local affiliate runs her little viddy diary thing where she gushes how W has the hardest job in the world. she is not even fit to write for a high school newspaper.

From Edward R. Murrow to katie couric. Wow. This is what it's come to.

7. But, apparently, she has shapely legs and her boobs are real
as she declared when she switched with Jay Leno once.

Sure, this was a joke - maybe - but how can anyone, who viewed her there, plus all her giggles for 20 years, or so, on the Today show, can take her seriously as someone who reports on world events. Oh, silly me. Obviously CBS did not want anyone being taken seriously.

10. CBS was looking for the opposite of Dan Rather
and I do think they found it.

11. It stopped under Schiefer
First, they change it so it also included people who were heroic and survived. Then, it stopped altogether. I'd forgotten about that segment.

I haven't watched since La Couric took up residence. I have caught the credits when I switched to local CBS. She sits perkily on the end of a desk and shuffles papers. gag, puke
