2. The Cipro has always bothered me
Since forethought has NEVER been their strong suit, especially in prevention.

Seems a strange measure to take in response to a series of hijackings.

Did they scramble jets in response to the Anthrax attacks? Jeez.

These men attacked us to allow for their agenda to be implemented. To me, it takes more mental gymnastics to come up with a conclusion different from this, honestly, than it does to accept the official story.

4. You might check out the response to a question I asked about it
http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_mesg&forum=125&topic_id=113377&mesg_id=113377

In case you've not visited the 9/11 forum, you'll find that there are those who post only to support the Official Conspiracy Theory (OCT) and others who support a new, independent investigation and believe in any of a wide range of "conspiracy" theories.

5. Do you remember the victims?
Edited on Sun Sep-10-06 05:05 PM by BeHereNow
I vaguely recall something about the reporter
in Florida who died (I think it was Florida anyway) having
some past with the Bush family, as in he
had done some rather unflattering reporting
about one of the BFEE family members...
anyone else recall that story?

6. I think it was a National Enquirer reporter
but I'm not 100% sure.

7. Yes, one of those types of check out aisle type rags...
I remember a dilligent DUer finding a
source that tied the reporter to the BFEE-
I don't remember the details, but I am certain
he had written something negative about
one of the female BFEE members-
Perhaps it was the drug addict, Noelle Bush?

9. WOW, his wife suing the government!!!
Just went searching for more information on him-
his name was Robert Stevens, 63 years old.
His wife Maureen Stevens wanted to sue the
Federal government because the anthrax that killed her husband
was found to be from a military lab.

"A law firm retained by Maureen Stevens - whose husband, Robert, was the first of five people to die of inhalation anthrax in last year's mail attacks - has been investigating a potential wrongful-death claim against the U.S. Army Medical Research Institute for Infectious Diseases in Frederick, Md. The law firm has been collecting Army documents and has offered at least one former USAMRIID scientist $500 an hour to serve as an expert witness."

Yikes...never did hear anymore about this, did we...?

10. I knew Bob Stevens personally
and he was one of the nicest people I've ever met. I very much doubt that he was connected to Bush - he was a Brit.

I don't believe he was the target, since the letter he opened with the anthrax was not addressed to him personally. He was not an editor that determined the content of the Enquirer, but a photo editor extraordinare, who dealt with pictures of celebrities.

I believe the target was American Media, Inc., which owns the National Enquirer, as well as many other publications and tabloids and who was perceived as being part of the liberal media.

IMHO.

11. I wasn't saying he was connected to the BFEE-
I was referring to a post from years ago that another
DUer had brought to a discussion on the attacks.
The poster had found some source that mentioned
an article or photo by Stevens that was not so flattering to
a member of the Bush family.
Duers then speculated on whether or not his death was meant to
send a warning to other reporters not to expose
the dirt on Bush family members-

From what you are telling me about the cirumstances
of his exposure to the anthrax, he was not a specific
target, just a random victim.

Do you happen to know what has become of his
wife's pending lawsuit against the federal government?

Sorry you lost a friend. I understand he had several
grandchildren. How sad that they will never know him.

13. OK, cool, I understand what you're saying now
Bob was really a cool guy - he was the guy who was always happy and positive and EVERYONE loved him that knew him. In the pre-computer days of the tabloids, he was an air-brush master, who could put two celebs together that had never even met each other.

Funny how there were so many assholes working for AMI at the time and the two NICEST people - Bob Stevens and Ernesto (who was the mailroom guy, who barely survived and still works there) were the ones who got the anthrax. Sometimes, life is really not fair!

I don't know what's going on with the lawsuit - I haven't kept up - but I can ask around.

BTW, BHN, I always read and enjoy your posts.

14. I hear ya- why is it that the GOOD people die and the shit heads
keep going like energizer bunnies?

I can't tell you how many fabulous people I have
lost in the last five years. It is really starting to
freak me out actually. I think it has effected me
in ways I haven't really comprehended yet.
I don't feel as fearless as I used to, that's for sure.

I would like to know what you find out about the lawsuit
if you hear anything more about it. I have a feeling
it has been swept under the rug with the rest of the
BFEE secrets. When you think about it, once the anthrax
attacks served the neocon agenda, they were simply disappeared
from the criminal corporate owned media, like so many
other bizarre incidents. When you try to add them all up,
your head simply explodes.

Thanks for telling me you enjoy my posts-
I have a tendency to rant sometimes, but that
is because I am now officially insane ofter years
of trying to digest the madness that has become our
daily lives...
I know you know what I mean...

16. I have lost several loved ones in the last few years also
including my wonderful mother and I feel just like you - I used to be pretty fearless but now I'm not so self-assured (hmm - sounds like a Beatles song).

As far as the insanity goes - I totally know what you mean. Since I seem to have an abundance of empathy for others, I have to take frequent breaks from DU and any other forms of hard reality because I can't handle it - especially since I'm a MIHOP-er - and I get easily overwhelmed.

Here's another flattery: I like the format of your messages - they are easy for my ADD brain to read.

Thanks again for all your fab posts and I'll let you know about the lawsuit.

17. Have I got a web site for you!
Speaking of easy to understand, clear and concise
information-
https://www.augustreview.com/

It is the BEST web site I have ever seen as far as
breaking down the facts about globalization and
how it will effect us.
Warning, the information is disturbing, but important
to know.
We are not going to be able to stop the agenda-
it is FAR too late. However, those who understand
what is planned and unfolding as we type,
may be somewhat more likely to
survive it.

I am so sorry about your mother.
I know my parents are not long for this world, and
I fear the day when they leave this world.
They are my rock in the sea of insanity.

I just listened to all three hours...
Now I think I'll try to find another planet to live on.
Pretty damned depressing stuff.
