Clinton lawsuits? Congressional outrage? ABC goes under?

From the first reports from the UK, it appears not much has been edited, including the infamous Berger scene.

2. I hope that Clinton.
Albright and Berger sue. If not it leaves the impression that ABC is right, that they won't fight for the truth.

5. Yeah...what happened to all those Petitions I signed and I even WROTE
my own "special comments." what happened to all that? Both "Move On.org and True Majority were going to be "Delivering" them. Also the DNC was supposed to be delivering signatures.

What happened to all of us who gave out our E-Mails and wrote our flowery prose to try to get the PTB to understand that this isn't just "signing a petition" this is heartfelt reponses of how we feel in individual letters attached to the petition. What's Next?

7. Did anyone really think they'd pull it?
They've known all along that it was inaccurate, that it was a huge smear, and moved forward anyway. All they've done in this time is prepare for whatever legal action may result.

9. .
Yeah, that's true. From the way these things were portrayed, it was very clear that the lies were done deliberately and with an agenda.

While we are at suing, anyone heard about AA? It's pretty damning being accused like this.

8. It may take awhile but something has to be done
I don't know what the chances of a lawsuit are. Seems they should have the best chance of a successful case in a Commonwealth country like New Zealand.

This is not up to date but it seems to confirm that New Zealand law is pretty much in line with UK laws on defamation. I'm sure there has been changes since 1966.

http://www.teara.govt.nz/1966/L/LibelLawOf/LibelLawOf/en
LIBEL, LAW OF

In New Zealand, as in all countries where the jurisdiction of the common law of England runs, every man is entitled to his good name and the esteem, great or small, of his fellows. In short, he has a right to demand that his reputation shall not be disparaged or smirched by defamatory statements, written or oral, made about him to a third person or persons, without lawful justification. Hence the law of libel and slander. In New Zealand this law is represented by the Defamation Act 1954, relevant sections of the Crimes Act 1961, and the Post Office Act 1959. Generally speaking, the New Zealand Act runs parallel with the United Kingdom statute – the Defamation Act 1952. This represents the revision of the English law in the terms of the recommendations of the Committee on the Law of Defamation which, under the chairmanship of Lord Porter, one of the Lords of Appeal in Ordinary of the Judicial Committee of the Privy Council, presented its report to the British Government in 1948. In general, therefore, New Zealand law on this subject is up to date with current thought and policy within the Commonwealth.

10. Clinton won't sue - he doesn't have the cojones
He's content to sit there and get Swiftboated beyond anything that was done to Kerry with barely a peep. If he raised hell he might not get to hang with his new best friend GHW Bush anymore, and his corporate buds might not invite him onto the Carlyle board of directors. Besides support for Hillary among the big money boys would vanish. He really is a complete inveretebrate.

11. What's next is that I'm staying away from DU for two days.
Not because of DUers, not at all. Only because I don't want to hear another word about that piece of shit Bushumentary, and I definitely do not want to hear what the asshole-in-chief says on TV Monday night.

I just can't control my temper when I hear about things like that TV show, nor could I control it if I actually heard the speech.

I'm serious. I'll miss you guys, but we're trying to sell our house so I want to makes sure there are no holes in the walls.
