Am I the only one who is distressed that "Gropenfuhrer" gets a Pass?
Edited on Sun Sep-10-06 05:44 PM by KoKo01
Why is it that Allen from VA who wraps himself in a Confederate Flag gets the HEAT/HOT...and yet the "Governor of Colly..Fonia" who is an IMMIGRANT with a "questionable past" gets to cover up his RASCIST "Hot Black Blood" commentary and past ...and all is well in the Democratic World!

Why does Ahhhnold get a pass? Is it his Kennedy wife? Or, is it that DU/Dems kind of "like the guy."

"Kind of "Like the Guy" reminds me of Chris Matthews who "kinda likes Bush and kinda likes Santorum and REALLY LIKES GIULIANNI ....because they WEAR BIG COD PIECES!!!!

So..what gives here? Why is it that Ahhhnold's racist statement seems to be very low on Dem Totem Poll for Retribution ...while Allen's "Macacca" seems to be INFLAMING AND LIGHTING UP THE INTERNET?

Just asking...Just Asking?

FOR THE SCOOP! GO HERE!!!!!

1. The Kennedy connection could be a reason. However,
I think the Dems are just letting him self-destruct. In a state that is I believe 40% Hispanic it's not a smart thing to say those things, not to mention that he has already pissed off our sizable gay population with his girlyman remarks. He also pissed off all the nurses and teachers as well as the usually Republican firemen and policemen by trying to gouge their salaries and benefits. This is why none of his initiatives passed in the special election. Also, his vetoing of the healthcare bill will lose him votes as well.

Even rigging the election with the E-voting machines won't work if enough people show up to vote him out of office in a landslide. Then Arnold won't be heard of again in politics anyway and his fifteen minutes of political fame will be over.

4. But, Cleita...why do NO DU'ers talk about Ahhnold's Dem Challenger?
Why aren't the Pollsters even putting this race in their "Overturn" factor.

Charlie Cook (The GURU for DEMS/REPUG Pollsters) IS on C-Span this Morning talking about EVERY RACE EXCEPT "Colly-Fornia" (Ahhhnold's Austrian term for the state he landed int) and so what is going on here??

I remember that many DU Ca's were so distressed about Ahhhnold's first win that they stopped posting. Some never came back..but others after a long hiatus did eventually come back and post.

HOW IS IT THAT this "Austrian follower of Nazi's" could BE EVEN "THINKING" of a SECOND TERM? Given what's gone on in America since he became Gropenator/Govenor?

How can this BE????? :eyes: America always looked to CA as a new vision! Yet, those of us who live in "Fundie America States" start to think that CA isn't much different in where we live when the "Govenor" does a RASCIST THING...about...."HOT BLOOD/CUBAN/LATINO" He as a "pure blood Immigrant from Austria" can make COMMENTS LIKE THAT ABOUT CALIFORNIANS?

7. We are talking about it at our meetings and rallies. Just because
it's not out there with the establishment doesn't mean it's not a topic of conversation. He had to cancel a fund raiser in my county because of the hostility and demonstrations against him. He seems to be remaining close to his home in Southern California where he has a few friends, but I doubt if even his movie buddies who are Democrats will be voting for him.

12. But why does the GREAT STATE OF CA! not have A GREAT DEM Candidate?
I remember our DU Californians so distressed by Ahhnold's win close on the hells of the STOLEN FLA Election that gave us this Monstrosity of a Repug Administration that has cause many of us who CARE...health problems, anxiety, sleepless nights for six year..and cost THOUSANDS OF INNOCENTS THEIR LIFE AND LIMBS...DIABLEMENT/IRAZI CHILDREN MAIMED DEAD, RAPED, TORTURED, HUMILIATED...and us DEMS ...TREATED LIKE SCUM OF THE EARTH, VILLIFIED BY IDIOTS...DISTORTED BY MEDIA WE "PAY FOR!!!!"

The DEMOCRATIC PARTY could NOT FIND ANYONE to RUN AGAINST "GROPENFUHER?" NO ONE???? HOW CAN THIS BE? ...because it tears my guts out ...that I have to do a  emoticom. HOW CAN THIS BE????

2. No, you're not.
I was rather shocked today to see two supposedly "opposing views talking heads" on MSNBC this morning essentially saying it was no big deal, the woman invited it because she is always talking about being a hot-blooded Latina, etc. No, what was far more disturbing to them was that Ahnold was getting so...LIBERAL and so DEMOCRATIC. Why, he might as well be a DEMOCRAT. :scared:

Alison Stewart tried to get these two men to see how a woman of black or Latina race might possibly be offended, but they just sort of shrugged and said maybe women feel differently about it than men. Sheesh.

Both were white men. I can't remember who.

I just shook my head.

5. IMO, Allen is a much easier target to hate
About a year ago the person that I most wanted to see defeated was Rick Santorum. But when I learned more about George Allen, that changed very quickly. Allen represents everything that I despise about the Republican party. He's spoiled, he's racist, he's dumb as a post, and he's a bully. His own sister wrote about how he traumatized her.

The difference in my view is that I feel like Santorum believes his own bullshit and Allen could care less about any of it, only about himself. Both should go down in flames, but I think that Allen is the more despicable one.

Admittedly Ahnuld shares many of Allen's characteristics but he's somewhat socially liberal and as much of a joke as he is, his achievements are at least his own and not a result of his daddy's famous name. This just makes him less of a target than Allen, in my view.

9. You mean the "latino" who said..."Yes, my "hot blood" makes me support
Ahhnold...because MY PASSION are HIS?" (I'm paraphrasing..in that there are many Latinos in CA who know feel they can "manipulate" the Gropenfuher to their advantage? IOW'ds if a Black in the South says "My Black strain of Blood gave Strom Turmond his Daughter and that's a GOOD THING" it means that we should give a PASS to those who make Racist Comments of OUR DEM CHOOSING and while ALLEN GOES DOWN in VA for "Macacca" it means that Ahhhhnold GOES UP IN CA...a much huger population grab for DEMS because folks have more problems with ALLEN than the do with NAZI FAMILY "Gropenfuher?"

WHAAAAAAAAAAAA???????

13. That's not really what she said...
Edited on Sun Sep-10-06 07:14 PM by bliss_eternal
Garcia, a Cathedral City Republican who is Puerto Rican, dismissed the remarks in a joint appearance with Schwarzenegger today in Santa Monica, saying ``there really is no reason to apologize. I was not offended . . . I am not mad; he recognized I'm passionate about the issues.''

She's a republican. What don't you get about her publicly being supportive of him? It's obviously in the interest of THEIR party. This does not mean he gets a pass from those of us that aren't a member of their party.

What makes you think he gets a pass from the rest of us...? In three threads you've started about this, I'm not at all clear what, specifically makes you believe he's getting a pass, as you say.

11. Perhaps you could find a productive use for your 'distress'...
Write/e-mail your senators stating you don't want to see him given a pass.

Write/e-mail women's groups in California expressing your concern, and offering your support.

Write/e-mail latina and/or African American groups doing the same.

:)

15. Suggesting a non-CA citizen that seems REALLY concerned
Edited on Sun Sep-10-06 07:18 PM by bliss_eternal
about what is going on in CA is arrogant on my part? How is that?

We CA's can use all the help we can get. We'd love the support and help. If you are so upset, why not write our govt. offices and tell someone how you feel?

I merely offered you concrete suggestions as to how you could apply your apparent distress. I mean three threads on the same thing, you must be really upset.

Why such antagonism for somone just trying to help you?

16. He "cringed" when he read his own remarks. So stupid he
is able to say things that later make him cringe on such sensitive subjects?

Hard to believe that the same individual that made the dumb statement would later actually cringe.

I wouldn't trust him as far as I can throw him.

N'zi stuff in his background too.

17. allen has a totally racist past
Refused to support MLK holiday, noose in his office, Jefferson Davis proclamation, racist graffiti at school, confederate flag decal while at a California prep school. In short it really is a pattern.

21. Locking.
The DU membership rules are pretty clear:

Duplicate Topics and Spamming

Do not post duplicate topics that have already been posted. There are different levels of enforcement in different forums. For example, the Latest Breaking News forum has extremely strict rules against duplicate topics, but the General Discussion forum is much more lenient. Cross posting of duplicates in the two General Discussion forums is not permitted. Cross-posting of duplicates in other forums is occasionally permitted if there is a clear reason for doing so.

Thanks.
