These are all occasions in the history of Disney where they buckled under public cricism, or as to not appear offensive to their public:
1. They pulled the Rescuers because of the image of a topless woman in the film: an animator's joke
which could only be seen if the film is slowed down and viewed frame by frame.

The company decided to censor images within Who Framed Roger Rabbit, including a moment (again only visible by slowing down the movie frame by frame) where Jessica Rabbit's crotch is visible, another moment where Baby Herman passes under a woman's dress--looks up, drools and flips the bird. There's also an image (rumoured) where Betty Boop allegedly appeared topless for a moment in her stage reflection. Some of these images are still in laser disc versions supposedly.

In 1997, there were complaints about the sexist nature of the Pirates of the Carribbean ride at Disneyland. Some were offended that the pirates chase women, and while doing so, said rather abrasive things. The company closed the ride and changed it, so that the pirates were chasing chickens instead of women, and in some cases chasing women carrying trays of food, suggesting the pirates are merely hungry. There even a woman featured chasing a pirate.
(NOTE: I still don't think the ride is "pc" considering they now chase chickens, which is offensive to vegans.lol ;))

For me the biggest point, was their refusal under Eisner's leadership to distribute Fahrenheit 9/11. I hoped that once they were reminded of this hypocrisy and under the threat of legal action by Clinton and the DNC they may pull the pos.
I was wrong. :(
