wasn't it delayed several times due to Disney's bullshit and stalling?
If I remember correctly, he tried to get it released well in advance of the 2004 elections.

Moore knew months ago that Disney-Miramax had backed out of distribution, but as the release date approached, he revisited the story to get a controversy in the press. It worked. Good for Michael Moore.
