President Bush has just spent the night at Colony Beach and Tennis Resort on Longboat Key, Florida. Surface-to-air missiles have been placed on the roof of the resort (it is not known if this was typical of presidential security before 9/11...)

He stayed on a ship because they had worries about PLANES BEING FLOWN INTO A HOTEL WHERE HE MIGHT BE STAYING..

after that, he got the "missile" treatment ... It is rather suspect though, that in his own brother's state he would be "unsafe" :)
