How many of you understand that in the name of protecting/promoting "Freedom", people die?
Our Sons and Daughters labor EVERY SINGLE DAY to keep us safe. They don't make operational decisions.
Are you aware that every year, in the name of "National Defense", hundreds, sometimes THOUSANDS of military men and women DIE? Right here on our own soil? By accident?
WHY IN THE FUCK AREN'T YOU SCREAMING THAT THEIR NAMES AREN'T BROADCAST ALONGSIDE THOSE WHO DIED IN IRAQ, AFGHANISTAN, or OTHER PLACES?
Some of them were my friends. They ALL were Patriots with a capital P
Don't you think their parents/loved ones are entitled to the same honor as those who died in combat?
?
Those good people who die on our OWN SOIL are entitled to NO LESS consideration than those who die in places where they don't belong.
Why don't THEIR pictures show up on Nightline?
Why doesn't KOS put a list of THEIR names on the website?
Who will honor those people who died in the name of "freedom" but who never made it into combat?
As a veteran, who was once proud to dispay a "Naval Expeditionary Medal" on his chest, I ask you...
Why aren't THEY good enough to earn their way onto your "memorials"?
