Cheney offers to bet on congressional Republicans
Edited on Mon Sep-11-06 03:29 PM by kineta
Guess they have the voting machines primed and in place.... :puke:

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Vice President Dick Cheney said on Sunday he expects fellow Republicans to rally and keep control of Congress in the November 7 election -- and offered to bet on it.

Although polls show unhappy voters may turn over the U.S. House of Representatives and possibly the Senate to Democrats, Cheney said: "I think we're doing very well out there.

Appearing on NBC's "Meet the Press," Cheney told moderator Tim Russert, "I'll even bet you a dinner that we hold both houses."

"I don't bet," replied Russert.

2. He's bluffing. They're in trouble and this is all he can say.
Cheney certainly isn't going to cry to the press that the Dems might win, is he now? ;-) Provided the voting isn't rigged, I think we're gonna take it.

5. All that time they spend going to fundraisers, I wouldn't be surprised.
Reminds me of his partner in crime guaranteeing that he'd win in 2000. I can still see his & Jethro's faces when he said that.

6. Cheney lies constantly and consistently.
What makes you think he's telling the truth about this?
