"I don't even care about 9/11 anymore"

No...Not My words..I'll explain.

I've been out servicing Computers in peoples homes for about 4 days (I get out of the shop
to keep from going nuts)

Anyway..The sad thing is probably 80 percent of the people I've talked to in these 4 days
(25?) have made statements like "I've heard so damn much about 9/11 CONSTANTLY day and night,
I'm ashamed to say that a part of me just doesn't care anymore...I feel like I've been Mugged"

Geez...it's sad how the Media and Politicians can almost cause a ....(I'm trying to think of a word)
..Ah... "Populace Fatigue".
They run something into the ground so much that Folks just get sick of it...even something like 9/11..

2. I'm sure some people have gone numb in self-preservation

I would love to be comfortably numb on the issue myself. The humane psyche can only take so much... and some of us are much stronger or much weaker than others.

It's like multiple personality disorder... the mind makes up other "selfs" to deal with issues the genuine self cannot... but not as extreme.

I remember being told of traumatic events in my childhood, and once I was told, I remembered vividly. But I never remembered on my own. Self-preservation is a mysterious thing.

3. I am tired of the terrorist worship that this country seems to be caught..

up in.

Why would there even be another terrorist attack in this country,
the terrorists got exactly what they wanted, thanks to GW, and they
are worshipped every year at this time. Even the small towns
around here in Ok. have pieces of burnt and bent steel from
the towers, set up in shrines to the attacks of 9-11.
