(Posted in full, as it is from my own
blog)
This report comes via
Ohio Media Watch. He's usually pretty reliable.
As previously reported, "Majority Report"'s Sam Seder will slide into the 9 AM-noon ET slot on AAR, bumping Jerry Springer off of the main Air America satellite feed. Air America, however, will continue to offer Springer's show via its syndication arm in the current time slot, like it does with Thom Hartmann.
The broadcast day will start with Mark Riley, currently part of Air America's morning drive programming. He will be on from 5-6 AM ET.
Sirius/syndicated hosts "The Young Turks" (left) bring their show to Air America and a much wider audience for morning drive (6-9 AM ET weekdays).
Rachel Maddow moves from early mornings to a new two hour evening show from 6-8 PM ET. Maddow's new show takes an hour off afternoon drive host Randi Rhodes' four hour show. Rhodes will be on from 3-6 PM ET.
Following Maddow will be daily versions of two weekend shows - "Politically Direct" with David Bender (right), and "EcoTalk" with Betsy Rosenberg (left). Each of these shows is one hour long, and come with their own sponsors.
And who will replace Mike Malloy at night? So far, Jon Elliott is filling in, and will be succeeded by Peter Werbe on an interim basis from 10 PM - midnight ET. This effectively shaves an hour off the previous Malloy show. Contrary to previous rumors, Laura Flanders' Radio Nation will not be in this slot.
Ovrenights will consist of replays of shows from Al Franken and Randi Rhodes, as before.
Changes are slated to take place Monday September 18, 2006.
