a thought on Pakistan's non-cooperation on bin Laden--we don't need it
I seem to recall that bin Laden had been spotted in Afghanistan with Predator drones, and Bush even used a drone to kill some al Qaeda guy in Yemen.

That doesn't require the cooperation of the locals or the government, and I don't think they even asked in Yemen.

My point is not that remote control assassination is the preferred way to solve problems, but if they wanted bin Laden, the slightest creativity and effort would snag him.

Hell, if they really wanted him, they could send their stupid ass "contractors" in there.

1. that was my thought as I watched
the propaganda film last night. They questioned striking him while he was surrounded by civilians, worried about the collateral damage. You know, back in the day when AmeriKa still had a moral code guiding it.

3. And you really want to give them cause to overthrow Musharraf?
You want to create a cause celebre by launching missiles on the territory of a nuclear power?

Maybe. But it won't come for free, that's all.

5. Of course I agree. Problem is, that's a NUANCE, which Bushies claim
not to do and rank as a sin almost as low as being French.
