7. Lauer doesn't deserve any praise.

He's still the same shallow, corporate apologist he was two days ago.

Seriously- listen to his questions. None of them were particularly aggressive or probing, and he let Bush get away with several statements that an aggressive interviewer would've used to nail him. That "my job is protect your family" line, for instance. His job is to protect the Constitution, and an increasing number of observers say that he's trampling it.

Just because Bush flipped out doesn't mean Lauer is a hard-hitting interviewer. There's a reason Matt Lauer was allowed to interview Bush in the first place, after all. George just can't take criticism- even the hint of subtle criticism sets him off.
