2. It was beautiful last night in NYC

You could clearly see the lights up here in the Riverdale section of the Bronx, which is 15 miles north of the WTC. They dwarfed the Empire State Building and the entire skyline, as these photos show. Incredibly moving.

3. THAT should be the 9-11 memorial- with simple,

elegant, stone walls enclosing the enormous lights. On the walls, the names of the dead.

Perhaps water could be incorporated somehow.

4. i saw that on my walk home last night

it was stunning... especially when the beams
would hit these little puffy white clouds and
shower the city with light

And as I walked down the sidewalk, looking up into the sky,
an old man walked by me from the other direction and said softly
"it's better in the clouds"

wow... and yes it SHOULD be the memorial !!!

FULL DISCLOSURE: It is retouched! Actually, I just had to clone a pixel-width of sky up the middle of the light, which has blurred into a single thick column after downsizing from the original. Don't want to be accused of faking the events surrounding the memorial! ;)
