I just listened to blivet's** interview with Lauer and he repeated that phrase several times. When he said it concerning Lauer's question about waterboarding, I couldn't help but think just how disjoined and meaningless that answer was to that question. (I know, all his anwers are) Just what does he mean by "We don't want the enemy to adjust"?

How the hell could they adjust to the practice of waterboarding? WTF does that even mean?
