It appears that this soldier, Sgt. Rafael Peralta, took a grenade, so his comrades wouldn’t die.

So why hasn’t George W. Bush sent his name up for the Congressional Medal of Honor, like lots of similar fellows in WW II, Nam, etc.?

I won’t get into the obvious politics of this thing, why the regime won’t award the awards that obviously ought to be comin’ …

Somebody out there in my hood, you know more about viral marketing than I do.

Got to be more than one, who deserve the CMH.

Please advise me. I don’t want to glorify war, but … I think it would be a comfort to his family, and I’m willing to run the risk that fools will think it’s glorifying war, if it brings some comfort to his family, and other families like his, their loved ones deserve this..."

I had the priviledge of meeting Sgt. Roy P. Benavidez. I will never forget him. We are a free country because of Sgt. Benavidez and those like him.

4. I'm not totally up on the process, but I don't think the president

would have anything to do with nominating a soldier for any medals - that would be the responsibility of the local commanders. So unless there is pressure from above to minimize these awards, I doubt there is a valid reason to lay this one at Bush's door.

However, this Marine deserves to be honored - and if he isn't it will be a travesty, no matter who is responsible...
